Hello,

I started taking drum lessons about 1.5 year and am probably pretty close to intermediate level. Does anyone know any really good ways to use that nearly endless supply of real drums?

I'm thinking that I could combine them with styles at various tempos and then either turn off the other instruments or leave that other ones and just play with the drums.

Have Fun, because if we can keep our practice regimens in the realm of FUN, we learn faster and easier.

You might also want to look into engaging a private teacher near you, too, for that can go a long way towards eliminating things that we don't know and thus building bad habits that take five times as long to break than starting out doing things the correct way.
