I saw this posted in another forum, and I thought some of you good folks might like to do this.

If you want to play around with some tracks that were "professionally recorded" just to see what you can do......

This site lets you down load the stems (aka:tracks) for songs from a variety of genres from singer/songwriter to death metal. You can preview the basic mix for each as well so you have a general idea what the song sounds like before you slice and dice it.

Great link Herb,

There are some very nice songs to choose from and huge variety of genres.

I notice a pretty big difference between 'stems' and full multitrack options.
A given song may have 5 stems or 31 tracks depending on the download selected.

How are these related in this application? That could make a big difference in time investment and results.

I do a lot of these. Thanks for posting as I had not run across this site before.
