Hi Girls n Guys,
Looking at laptops and am confused about SSD and HDD,
If the laptop is HDD and the external drive is SSD does that have any bearing on speed of loading etc?
Put another way does it make any difference whether the laptop is HDD if I am using an external SSD drive?
Thanks Hugh

Biab runs in ram, but if you have the realtrack/drums on an ssd it should be quicker reading the tracks/creating to ram initially from it than a hdd.

Thanks Pipeline
So if I had an SSD external drive(with realtracks/drums) and running with a HDD laptop would it be the same as having an SSD external card(with realtracks/drums) running with a SSD laptop?
Thanks again Hugh

The best option would be have an SSD main drive using the SATA controller in the laptop with the RT&RD on it. What are the wma, 120gig ?
I don't think Biab would operate any quicker on an SSD reading an external SSD than on a HDD reading an external usb 3.0 SSD.
