Hi everyone,
I just uploaded my new video to YT:
Archtop vs Semi acoustic jazz guitars
I explain (in English) what the differences between archtops and a semi-acoustic jazz guitars are. I also included professionally recorded sound demos of each type - unplugged and amped.

I hope you like it and you find it informative.

Enjoy, Sandra
Excellent!

Are you another Johnny Smith fan?

PS - I wish that I could play like you do!
Excellent. So very well put together, clear and concise. And some really great playing polished everything even more. Thanks.
Nicely done, Sandra! I'm a fan smile
Wonderful video, Sandra, thank you for sharing! They're beautiful sounding guitars smile
Mario,
Yeah, one of my favorite Johnny Smith tunes is "Jaguar". Quite challenging though.

Thanks so much. I appreciate it very much. I tried to keep it short, so your compliment means a lot to me.
Sandra -

I had to laugh a little, when I saw this (and it probably isn't funny to anyone else), but when I lived in Germany, I noticed that all the non-German TV shows and movies on TV were dubbed from the original into German (we had a switchable TV that received both the NTSC American standard to pull in the American Armed Forces Network, but could switch it to the PAL standard to bring in German channels over the air).

What was especially funny were the music shows, where the performers "spoke" German (dubbed), but then of course sang the songs in their original language.

Anyway, for your video, it was fun to see it dubbed the other way - from German to English.

Haha, yeah the dubbing thing in Austria (and Germany) can get pretty weired. It usually lacks the wit of the original language. I prefer watching the original audio with American TV shows. (My favorite is the Big Bang Theory).

Anyway, i will make future videos soley in English or German. But we shot so many videos last summer for the new website, which were all in German. So when i got requests for english versions, i ended up dubbing those videos.

Greeting from Vienna to Florida,
Sandra
