If I select a Print Range of Whole Song, then preview the output, when I come back to the Print Options dialog, the Print Range has changed back to First Chorus. My preferences for this screen should be saved so I don’t have to keep entering them when I am trying to adjust the printed output.

That makes sense.

It would be much better if these settings were saved as a general user preference.
