I have a legacy iMac that has play problems when the Mac Band in a Box tracks are loaded with Audio files ( not MIDI ) . It would be too expensive to purchase more RAM and more processing power at this time in the life of that iMac.

In the Additional Song Settings i always for this iMac have to set the disable fast generation.

I wish that could be set to always be on and make it the exception.

In the PC version, you can disable fast generation of RealTracks globally in Options, Preferences, RealTracks. That isn’t available on the Mac?

In an Intel Mac you don't have to buy Mac specific parts, you can buy PC Ram and CPU for it that you will find is a lot cheaper.

So it appears the Mac version has this setting as well. Good.
