There have been many topics at the various forums that I would be interested in following rather than immediately posting a comment or advice/help.

However there does not seem to be a way of just following a topic other than to write it down in some text programme.

It would be a huge help if there was a clickable button within the topic that would keep track of those topics that are of interest and thereby we could " subscribe " to that topic.

This is a feature used by many of the forums I follow and am a contributing member.

At the top-left, just above the first post in a thread, do you see Topic Options? If so, clicking on that should get you the "Add topic to your watched topics" command.
