I plugged an mp3 player into a vacant USB Port, heard the handshake beeps, now I can't find my mp3 player under "devices". Whatupwidat?

Donny
bring up windows file explorer
find and click on this pc
it may appear as a drive
No joy, Mike!

I noticed that 2017 Windows Everything Pak is J:, when I initially connected the mp3 player, it also appeared as J: drive.

Opening J: does not show the new music files.

I've had no end of misery since upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

Just from what I saw above, it sounds like your MP3 player needs Win10 drivers so that your PC can identify it. Do a google search on the MP3 player's model name and number and "Win10 drivers" and see what you come up with.
You can assign a drive letter to your BIAB drive that it will default to every time you connect it. The other unassigned drives/devices will be arranged around it.
