Forgive me, but I'm technically challenged. tired

I currently use an Edirol UM-1X USB MIDI interface (from my keyboard) which is quite old, and is starting to stop co-operating.

Will the Roland UM–ONE mk2 USB MIDI Interface that PG Music sells do the same job?

I'm using Windows 7

TIA

If you only have one hard synth then yes it will work. So will this

https://www.amazon.com/Sizet-5-Pin-Cable-Keyboard-Converter/dp/B01CTXWR56

and it is only $6 USD. I have one of these and it works perfectly.

Hi Mario, Thank you. Wow, $UD6.00 is a lot different than $US39.00
We don't have Amazon here (yet). PG Music sells the one I mentioned above, but unfortunately they can't ship 3rd party hardware here to Oz, so I'll have to try to source one locally.

Google/bing 5 pin midi to usb adapter and you will find a number of them. If you have Ebay you can get one for around $4.00 USD. Walmart has them for $6.00 USD. Other sites have inexpensive ones also.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

Thanks Mario, I appreciate your advice. I'll give Ebay a try.

+1 on E-Bay, I bought a few used ones there. People want to upgrade for more whistles and bells, but a basic USB->MIDI interfaces is all I need.

Hi Keith, I too challenged with midi and have had the same Edirol as you. I bought the Mark 2 from a local Adelaide music store approx $40 and works fine.
