Welcome to the forum.

1) Yes. BIAB can support using virtual instruments running under Kontact. You would normally use this to play the melody and harmony (called Melody and Soloist), which are MIDI.

2) Yes, these older bonus Paks will run on new versions of BIAB. Did you save the downloaded .EXE file, or the DVD they came on? If so, just reinstall them separately.
