I've been perusing through the "User Programmable Functions" and the Bass patterns, and PG&S pattern stuff seems fascinating to me.

Unfortunately, I don't understand Greek. However, if this is something that can work for RealTracks I'll seriously consider learning!

So what's the deal with this, good and kind BiaB veterans of the PG forums? Is this another vestigial organ from back in the MIDI-only days in BiaB's evolution, or is this something I can leverage to humanize and spice up my RT arrangements?

I know the Macros are a MIDI only thing; I'm pretty sure the masks are MIDI only as well.

There are bass, guitar, string, and piano macros, which allow you to enter a single note and get a certain type of pattern played in a certain style. You can read about it in the user manual.
