In the Notation window, I have two notes tied (see image) and would like to remove the tie. I've searched help for "tie" and see no results. I've tried removing it by highlighting the tied notes, left clicking, choosing "Notation Symbols" and then "Slurs" and "OK remove event", but that doesn't work. If you remove the tie, then do you want an eighth rest instead of the tied eighth note? You could place a rest there, which would work.

You can right-click the note in Editable Notation Mode and adjust (shorten) the note duration, or drag the note length in the piano roll.

Yes, I'd like the half note and the two eighth notes, but not tied. Which note would I right click on and drag?

Oh, that’s different. Just add the eighth note where it should be. The other notes will adjust.
