I use wondering what you all thing about writing an electronic song version a traditional sing/songwriter song. For me, I feel like writing an electronic song needs a lot of effort to be good, because you need to focus on the song, rather than than the sounds, which is still important in electronic music. After all, you are using synthesizers, which are more designed for creating sounds rather than creating complex musical structures. However, that does not mean you cannot be musical creative with synths Take a listen at one of my favorite jazz fusion bands Weather Report. They use synths in a very music way, instead of just of looping simple chord
progressions.

I did electronic versions of Faure's Pavanne and Satie's Trois Gymnopedies back in February. The Trois Gymnopedies is going on my album release planned for this year. Both of these songs have great melodies which can be co opted for electronic music purposes.
