heres my second likkle song ditty effort while learning biab2011. just a ruff song idea etc etc. called "Renegade Radio". link>> last song in song player at .. www.motagator.net/bmanningfrankly i'm too close to it. feel free to critique//beat me up..lol. particularly interested if people think the radio dj talk idea at beginning n end of song is valid. listen over mini ear buds . as well as the special effect (sorta siren) in two song places cos i dunno if it works. no probs if people think its a junk idea. cos i get a ton of new song ideas each month. my prob is getting time to do each song the way i want it. so if folks think its junk it'll go to the junk bin..lol. all the best.

Hi manning,
Very creative! I'm listening through headphones as I type. Sounds to me like you're really getting the hang of composing, arranging, mixing and mastering. The groove of this song is excellent. My feeling is that you might even be able to bring it a little further forward in the mix, too.
Your approach to music is always fresh and fun to listen to.
All the best, Noel

noel. cheers for the comments mate. lots of biab learning yet for me. actually re arranging etc .. years ago i was criticised for being too structured when i did songs. but i just always felt that "normal consumer" expects songs to be structured a certain way.
lol...i'll share a joke with ya mate. years ago i was always haveing debates withn chamber music folks/friends. they were always complaining they often couldnt get anywhere as brilliant musicians (way better than i will ever be.) the prob was the music genre wasnt accessible to most people. (cept for some cogniscenti.) what i mean to say is its allright haveing wild special chords with flatted this's n sharpened thats (i have to check meself on 22nd chords which i'm partial to.) the debate will never end tween the simpler songwriting approach and the complex use of extended chords n inversions etc. typically what i go for is hooks n a good beat.. i'm a simpleton..lol. god bless.

Hi Manning,
Great work. Especially for someone who is just getting started with BB! And I always enjoy some good humor!

cheers fellow pg'ers. they are just daft song tests while learning biab. yes i like daft humour in songs..lol. my other objective while learning biab was to prove to myself that biab can rock out. cos some people had said to me over the years ..its for jazzers, or elevator music , or other doodle comments to put down biab. but, as i'm discovering, once again its all in how the tool is used. and is very deep. for example yesterday i ws mucking around with a real trak guitar , the arrange was fine but i wanted to change the sound , so i reamped it after dropping in the daw. stuff like that. anyhoo after a few more months gonna post some triks in the pg triks section. i got lots to discover yet. thanks for the comments.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
