Hi Daniel. I have posted a few Brazilian jazz and also Latin jazz BIAB tunes on my website. These are only chord changes; there are no melodies, as per copyright law. Also, they date back to before RealDrums and RealTracks, but you can add those yourself.

yes, just don't by an everything pack and expect to get any real track latin styles. Nearly anywhre else will work better. Sears, walmart, the police station...

But you can bet they will be on sale soon. ala "Oh? did you want a bottom for your new boat? We have those right over here, lucky you, they are on sale today."

Hello Daniel: I'm glad you were able to find some Latin Band-in-a-Box songs. Just to clarify, the EverythingPAK offers many Latin MIDI sytles, RealDrums in a variety of Latin Styles and RealTracks in Bossa, Samba, Rhumba, Cha Cha, Mambo and Tango. You can listen to those demos at this link. http://www.pgmusic.com/realpaks.jazz.win.htm

Hi Daniel, Tres Palabras is also know as Without You. This may make your search easier. If you still can't find it I can send it to you.

Also, Samba Dees Days may be Some of These Days.

Thank you Bob for your answer .....

Are you sure that "Tres palabras" = "Without you" and "samba dees days" = "some of these days" ?

You seem to be categorical; i am in the doubt ...

Anyway, thanks for that !

Yes, Without You is the English title for Tres Palabras. Tres Palabras means Three Words. Later, Ray

Thanks to Gail for pointing out my misconception on the absence of Latin Styles. I based that on going to the styles menu and under Latin [ a place where one could safely assume Latin real styles might live ] and finding none. I after Gail emailed me I found several farther down in the Jazz real styles list. [ where there are other styles that are not jazz or even related to it.] I don't recall the number I just remember remarking how that that get in here. Something to do with my filter choices maybe. The Filer is a very good idea. My bad attitude arises partly form a call I made prior to purchasing the audiophile `11 version. I asked what everything meant and was told it meant everything pg music offers in the various biab packages. Since the focus of the new marketing was real players, real styles I was expecting to see some real styles in the Latin menu. Silly me! Still am. Waiting for the boat bottom sale....

The spanish moderator here posted this example of what can be done and the subsequent posts are about how he did it. Bears some scrutiny.

Fellows, you have to be careful when selecting which English version of "Without you" you select as the same song.
"Tres palabras" was composed by a Cuban musician_writer by the name of OSVALDO FARRE. . here's the english version sang by FRANK IFIELD:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kbf_y65AwJ4
Other songs with the same name I have found is sang by various artists including Mariah Carey and have nothing to do with it. Here is s video with the instrumental version Of "Tres Palabras" played by prominent father and son Cuban musicians.

Ha, and it's -26F and I said to my wife, "I can take the plane 10 minutes from here and be in Cuba in 2 hours and 15 minutes". We are going to England and France in a few weeks (well April), and I decided no trip to Cuba this year. And the price included Cuba Libre's and they always made mine so very well, and I can not really drink any more...

I have to give that a listen....when the sun comes up.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
