RealTracks Set 146 Update is available for download from: http://www.pgmusic.com/support_windows_realdrums.htm#RT146This patch will update and complete RealTracks Set 146. This is intended for customers who purchased the Band-in-a-Box 2012 PlusPAK, UltraplusPAK, or EverythingPAK prior to Dec 15 2011. You need to already have installed the RealTracks in your purchase. We'll be sending info to audiophile customers about getting the uncompressed files.

After installing the patch, I only have two of the three realtracks included in the set. (samba soloing is missing). How can I install the missing one?
Thanks in advance

I have downloaded 146 twice but Norton Security software has declared it a Medium Risk Threat and removed it. Restored and installed. Seems OK

I have installed realtrack 146 fine but I am not sure if this guitarists website has been hijacked. I have posted a thread on the offtopic forum, http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/showflat.p...SID=#Post343042musiclover

Just so I KNOW which files are what and why.
Is the most recent email link provided for RT 146 (i.e., sent in email link today/yesterday 16 Dec) and/or the link provided on the support page for RT 146, referenced by Andrew in the first post, the COMPLETE RT146 set?
Reason I ask is I tend keep install files (on separate media, in separate locations and "just in case" I'm "retentive" that way) and wanted to know If I need to keep BOTH files: the partial RT146 from last Friday's provided email link AND the one from the support page, or last weeks and the one from today's email, - or is today's email the compete 146?
Thanks Larry

Yes, it is the complete set. No need to retain the previous partial install for it.

The same thing happened to me with my Audiophile version. I reported it to Support and they sent me a reference to an article that was a clarification on the WS.Reputation.1 threat I was getting from my Norton protection. I think Support was telling me this is a problem with Norton and not the PG Music download. However, when I tried the latest link mentioned in a further email I got from Sales, it seems that file 2 was going to take nearly three hours to download. I had already blown half my 12000 MB download allowance on the one successful, two failed downloads, and so I opted for a disc version. This is a bit of a problem with Audiophile. The files are huge and it is not practical to download them. I need the rest of my download allowance for work.

I just received the following email from Symantec regarding their false positive reaction to this download:
"The Symantec Insight Dispute team has reviewed your recent submission to the Insight Dispute Submission form Webpage form "RealTracks 146 Update Dec 15 2011." In light of further investigation and analysis Symantec is happy to remove this detection from within its products. Please ensure that your machine reflects the change by running LiveUpdate."
This should reassure those who, like me, had a frustrating time trying to download a perfectly safe file.

If the HDD was received yesterday, and the newest files on it are dated 12/15/11, does that mean it is all up-to-date, no updates needed? Or?

Yes, that should be up-to-date, with the exception of the RealBand build 5.

The Patch Update for this Realtracks set arrived today and it took about five minutes to install. Very nice, thank you. A much better way to get updates, especially as I had to go 7 days with a slowed internet due to exceeding my download allowance. One of these days our Telstra is going to treat its customers a bit better and start to get competitive with the service available elsewhere in the world. But I guess you get what you deserve when you privatise a State-owned service and then employ a dopey American to run it for you. Thankfully, they saw the light and fired him. Let us see how the present government goes with our new National Broadband Network.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
