Do you want to save the working file (seq format) or have a wave file all mixed down?

First option File-Save As

Second option - Audio - Merge audio and DXi tracks to stereo wavefile

Make your sound your own!
.. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

hey Brian,

how about posting a song that uses session strings to the user showcase so we can hear how good the strings sound?

Are the sounds substantially better witghout tweaking, or do you have to massage the continuos controllers to get superior results?

LOL , I am sorry i should not laught ,that would be a good idea, when i get Realband to work ok ,lol i keep getting near, but then some thing else rears its ugly head ,i am very tempted to go back to my trusted Power tracks which is a flawlees work horse ,mean while i have Session strings and kontak 5 to play with ,and guitar rig pro,and have not produced a note yet lol ,but i will ,and yes the session strings sound sweet as they are ,i am quite sure a monkey could make good music with what i have ,so i dont know whats stoping me lol .best wishes Brian.

Brian if it works in PT it has to work in RB, since RB IS PT for all intents and purposes. Open PT and write down the setup features like audio driver, midi driver, and also what synth you are using for basic sound, and then open RB, and set it up exactly the same.

Lenovo Win 10 16 gig ram, Mac mini with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2022, Realband, Harrison Mixbus 32c version 9.1324, Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app, Komplete 49 key controller.

Hi Robh
yes would have thought so ,but its not quite like that ,i have everything set the same ,in Powertracks and RB ,but when i start recording ,in RB what a shocking sound that is when the butons are pressed to hear what i am playing ,or the button to make sure the effect is recording , woe not good ,yet in powertracks ,perfect ,nothing to alter, just press and go ,but i will keep on keeping on with Realband,,best wishes Brian.

Sounds to me like you have the bit rate part set wrong. Both programs need to have the same audio, in fact all the tracks. If you set it wrong and try to play something that is or was recorded at another rate you get NOISE. Have a look at that.

I just realized I said sounds to me.

I'm deaf.

And of course I'm speaking figuratively I don't want you to think I can hear your system. .

Glad you figured it out Brian. You seem to be a guy who communicates well, and I think you'll be a great asset to the forum as you gain expertise with the software.

actually, to me you seem like a very fast learner. I presumed you were a new user because I hadn't seen your name before, and new users tend to appear on the forum after each version release

Sonar is a great program. In fact there are a LOT of great music programs, but I can't afford to upgrade them all. Around version 6, I could see that it wouldn't be long before Real Band could do everything I was doing in Sonar, plus a whole lot of proprietary stuff that Sonar CAN'T do. That's why I'm still at version 6... I decided then that the one music-making software I would upgrade is the PGMusic suite.

With this release of RealBand (2012) RB does all the things that are important to me. So, even though I answered your question indirectly, in a roundabout way I told you what I think of Sonar.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
