Nedenfor bringer jeg uddrag af opdateringsmanualen, som netop er oversat:
De vigtigste nyheder i version 2012.5 er:
101 nye RealTracks (sammenlignet med BB 2012) som indeholder:
- Jazz - 31 RealTracks bl.a.: Cubanske RealTracks, produceret af Rebeca Mauleón, som indeholder fuld besætning til Son Montuno og Bolero (piano, perkussion, baby bas, tres guitar, guitar), Jazz Funk “Movin” stile, Mike LeDonne jazzvals orgel samt Dixieland medium tempo rytmesektion.
- Pop - 36 RealTracks bl.a. Modern Dance Pop, John Jarvis piano stile samt flere Texas Blues og Rock ‘n’ Roll med Brent Mason og Sol Philcox.
- Country - 34 RealTracks bl.a. John Jarvis Country, Praise and Worship Modern Groove, Country Boogie, Western Swing solister samt "killer" solister.

MIDI SuperTracks
Vi har forbedret MIDI stilart genereringen ved at tilføje en helt ny "motor", som genererer MIDI SuperTracks. I stedet for MIDI stilarter baseret på C7 akkordmønstre, som bliver gentaget over alle akkordtyper, er MIDI SuperTracks baseret på rigtige indspilninger af studiemusikere. Når du spiller SuperTracks med din MIDI synth eller favorit VST plug-ins, får du nu en fantastisk lyd med MIDI. Vi har medtaget 3 nye MIDI SuperTracks sæt (pop/country og jazz) med piano, orgel og bas – ialt 46 MIDI SuperTracks.
MIDI SuperTracks er MIDI spor, som kan tilføjes et spor eller en stilart og spille som ethvert andet MIDI spor i stilarten. Vi kalder dem “SuperTracks”, fordi de er genreret med en anden "motor" end de almindelige MIDI stilart spor. Almindelige MIDI stilart spor genereres udfra et C7 mønster i stilarten, og bruger disse mønstre i alle akkordtyper. MIDI SuperTracks bruger rigtige MIDI indspilninger af musikere (i den forstand magen til RealTracks), så de er ikke baseret på mønstre.
Valgbar PPQ til MIDI filer
Vi har også tilføjet andre nye MIDI funktioner, såsom valgbar PPQ opløsning ved eksport af MIDI filer (fra 120 til 1920 PPQ).
Normalt gemmer Band-in-a-Box MIDI filer i 120 PPQ opløsning. Dette er ca. 4 millisekund opløsning, hvilket er ret godt. I vores lyttetest kunne folk ikke kende forskel på filer med 120 PPQ og filer med højere PPQ (som fx 960 etc.). Hvis du foretrækker at arbejde i en DAW med højere PPQ, kan du nu vælge den output opløsning, du måtte ønske.
Nye akkordtyper
Vi har tilføjet nye akkordtyper, bl.a. formindsket treklang (Cdim5 indeholder tonerne C, Eb, Gb), “add2” akkord (Cadd2 = C, D, E, G) og “madd2” (Cmadd2 = C, D, Eb, G) . Der er en ny indstilling i Visning Præferencer : "Opfat dim akkord som formindsket treklang (Cdim5) i stedet for Cdim7.” Hvis valgt, indfører Cdim en formindsket treklang og Cdim7 indfører en formindsket septimakkord.
Flere RealTracks med enkle variationer
Vi har forbedret RealTracks. Der er 176 flere RealTracks, som har "enkle" versioner nu. I 2012 versionen var der 43 RealTracks med "enkle" versioner. Nu er der 219, hvilket dækker de fleste af de RealTracks, hvor det er relevant med en enkel version!
Forbedret visning af RealCharts
Vi har forbedret RealCharts, så noder og guitar tab vises mere præcist. Vi har tilføjet nye RealCharts til eksisterende bas RealTracks, så du nu kan se noder og bas tab til disse. Du behøver ikke at gøre noget, men du vil opdage, at visning af det der bliver spillet, er blevet meget mere præcist i mange stilarter, - både i nodesystem og guitar tab.
Ny Loops funktion tilføjet
Loops dialogen er blevet forbedret med to nye funktioner:
- “Omdøb” knap i Vælg et Loop dialogen. Denne giver et loop et nyt navn.
- “Klon” knap i Vælg et Loop dialogen. Denne dublikerer et loop, og gør det muligt at bruge det med andre parametre.
Hurtigvalg RealTracks dialog
En hurtigvalg dialog er tilføjet til menuen tilknyttet instrumentknapperne øverst på skærmen, som gør det muligt hurtigt at vælge et RealTrack uden at skulle åbne hele RealTrack dialogen.
Hvis du for eksempel hurtigt vil vælge et piano RealTrack, kan du højreklikke på Piano knappen og vælge “Hurtig.Tilføj RealTracks.”
Fremtvungen Synth kanal mulighed
Fremtvungen kanal til en synth, som er tilknyttet sporet (sørger for at synthen altid spiller på sporet).

Der er forsvundet det meste af indholdet i denne post. Der var nogle mærkelige tegn for æ og ø, men jeg ved ikke hvad der sket. Hacking?

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
