Right, we still need to enable scrolling in the notation and leadsheet windows. That will come soon in a future build.
Thanks, just wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy. I was pretty certain that it worked before.
Believe me I'm not complaining, the new additions are really great ! Thanks again, for the extra effort bringing these features to the Mac version !

EDIT: Reinstalled fonts, and reapplied the upgrade,- now everything works perfect Guess the Pg-fonts are supposed to be in the /library/fonts folder (I installed manually when I moved BIAB to Mountain Lion). thanks...A couple of days ago I ran "verify fonts" from the fontbook application and it found the PGmusic font suitcase both in the library folder and the user/library font folder and reported a duplicate font problem. I disabled the one in the library folder. Maybe that's the problem? Everything looks fine on the screen. I check when I get home later today.

Hey Peter, Thanks for getting the scrolling back in the notation and leadsheet window ! One little thing I did notice though, is that while playing songs with the notation window open the screen seems to redraw in 2 halves. The cursor follows the notes across the first half of the screen, then when it reaches the second half of the screen the first half re-draws. Then when the cursor gets back to the left hand side of the screen the right half re-draws. Not a big deal, and I'm not sure if that's the way it's supposed to work, or possibly my first generation Intel Mac is just too slow. If that's how it's supposed to work then that's fine, it just seemed a little strange (not used to all these new features). But otherwise the new features are really great ! Thanks ! - Jay

Yes Jay, that is intentional. It is scroll ahead notation, so you can read ahead, while still seeing what is playing now. You can disable that in notation options.

Doh ! That makes perfect sense now, one of these recent versions (I don't remember which) seems to have changed my preferences back to some sort of default settings. I must have had that turned off in a previous version, since I prefer the smooth scrolling.
Thanks again for all the work that has gone into these new additions lately !

Peter,
I am wondering if there is a coming bug fix for melody notes editing that toggles with base notes while in notation editing mode. Also when inserting or adding notes while editing, I noticed a channel change from channel 1 (melody) to channel 13? Just a thought.

I am not aware of either of those issues. Please elaborate.
<<< melody notes editing that toggles with base notes while in notation editing mode. Not sure what you mean here.
<< when inserting or adding notes while editing, I noticed a channel change from channel 1 (melody) to channel 13 When I insert a note on the notation, it goes on channel 1. It might go on channel 13 if you have set the track type to guitar or bass, but that is normal.

When I click on notation while song is playing, it doesn't display the option bar at the top of the notation window. It displays fine if a song isn't playing. Running build 64 on Mountain Lion.

Can't duplicate an issue like that on any OS including Mountain Lion. Perhaps others will report it.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
