One Knob Louder! Waves has a great set of expensive plugins this one is free this weekend only.

Ideal for individual tracks and full mixes alike, Waves OneKnob Louder uses a powerful combination of low-level compression plus automatic makeup gain and peak limiting to increase RMS volume by up to 24 dB. OneKnob Louder

This could be a solution for those having difficulty dealing with the Audio Compressor/Limiting issues.

One "smart" knob...

And the price is right.

Note the entire "ONE KNOB" series that is available for $$ if you like what this one does for you. "Sizzle"

Thanks for being a part of the Waves community!

Due to overwhelming demand, our servers are running at maximum capacity.
Therefore, your OneKnob Louder free serial number has not yet been created.
Another email containing your OneKnob Louder free serial number will be sent to you within 48 hours. We apologize for this inconvenience

I agree there is a real need for plugins that are simple. It takes a lot of time to learn good techniques for any process in recording. Just watched the video demos of Brighter, Phatter, Louder, Filter, Wetter, Pressure, and Driver. Pretty Cool plugins, not cheap but on sale.

yeah I got the message...

Takes as much time/resources on the server to send me that message as to generate a serial and send it to me. However, all of their Black Friday marketing was present in the email!

Been reading some bad stuff about Waves in other forums...

Waves one-knob 'Louder' FREE today, and a few bundle offers:
"...Watch out on this one though. I didnt realise everything had gone to non-iLOk and when I installed Waves9 to get this freebie it wiped all my existing authorisations and I have yet to figure out how to get them back. Even gtr solo which wasnt iLok protected anyway! "

"...Wow. That company is a train wreck. Good riddance to bad trash."

For those who have installed, how did it go?

Anyone a heads up on the serial numbers? I know from a Belgian recording forum that there are people who received their free code today. As I stated earlier; I got my free serial number Friday, so I no for a fact it is not some sort of scheme.

When installing the plugin, be sure to select the One Knob demo and select the Louder plugin only.

Already bailed on them. They may not technically be spammers but I don't want a flood of junk mail.

I am using the new 1040XTRAEZ form this year. It has just 2 lines.

1. How much did you make in 2023?
2. Send it to us.

I haven't had any mail from them other than the few I got this weekend. Plus you can unsubscribe (is that a word?) from their newsletter.

And as I stated in several other posts before: there is no such thing as a free lunch. You get the plug-in and they get your permission to send you their newsletter.

I accepted this deal.
I rather read news on music-software than read about cheap drugs, certain blue pills, foreign brides or or free opportunities for horizontal sports.

I got the serial # today but haven't done anything. I don't mind getting a newsletter about their stuff at all. Just worried about any malware. Is the plug totally safe and legit?

It STARTS with music software. Once they sell your address to other mailing lists, the flood starts.

John,

Waves are one of the 3 or 4 biggest/most respected plugin companies in the marketplace today. They have no need to be a malware user, and are highly disincentived to purvey malware. Very high demand for their stuff.

This type of thing is fairly common for these well-known companies when they do freebies. Arturia had a similar situation when they gave away their Minimoog VSTi last year. Their servers couldn't handle the demand.

http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/products/minimoogv/minimoogv-original.html

I never got the freebie. Each time I tried the Arturia site, it was crashed. There was nothing untoward about the whole thing other than they bit off more than they could chew.

Here's a review. They're talking about the same product at full price - this one is mentioned around middle of page.

Mike, this free version doesn't need an ilok to work does it? The review article didn't say but someone on another forum said it did......????

Hi Josie,

You don't need an iLok for the Waves plug ins. The key will be placed on your harddrive or on an USB stick should you want that.

Cubase still works with iLok. I have been using it for several years now and so far haven't had any problems with it.

Software called Waves Licensing Center that's the lock and it's free on waves web site. You have to check for the version to match your operating system. I haven't activated mine yet, but I have used waves diamond for years. Never got a lot of spam from them but do get adds for their latest updates and new stuff. You can reactivate ones you have and move them to other computers with the WLC software.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
