I Miss Those Words

Here it is: I Miss Those Words
I wrote this song because I heard someone say that they missed their loved one after they were gone.

See below how I glued the song together.

****** Song Summary *************
Title: I Miss Those Words
Key=G , Tempo 92, Length (m:s)=4:18
No intro. 95 bar chorus, from bar 1 to bar 95. Repeat x1 chorus

Style is C_RICH.STY (Rich-Cl.Country Piano Ballad)

Style MIDI Instruments are : Acoustic String Bass (33), Acoustic Piano (1), Acoustic Guitar (26), Slow Strings (50),
MIDI Drums :33Jazz Drums (33)
RT2038:Guitar, Resonator, Soloist CountryRob Ev 085

I transfered the file into Realband, then, using SampleTank used Band In A Box's Instrument list.
The bass was selected as Acoustic Bass T.
The Drums was selected as Jazz Brushes set.
The Piano was selected as Bright Grand Piano.
The Guitar was selected as Finger Picked Acoustic.
The Slow Strings were selected as Movie Strings.

On the vocal tracks (the vocal track was duplicated) I used the following:

PG Dynamics
PG Reverb
<VST> Classic Compressor

I used different settings for eack vocal track.

I used EZMix on the Master A1 and used the Master Ambiance setting.

Hope you enjoy

Regards

George

George,

Nice song. I hear just a tad of Ernest Tubb here. The only nitpick I have is at times the dobro is just a little too busy in some of the background sections to me, seems to compete a little bit too much with the rest of the arrangement at times. Not a big deal, and others will probably disagree with me. smile

Thanks for sharing!

Steve

Hi Steve,

Thank you for taking a listen.

Yes you are right... I got tired of pasting and cutting (this is using Realand) so I just used the record mixer moves for the dobro tired

I will, when I have time, fix this.

Regards

George

Hi Bob,

Thanks for taking a listen.

When I have some downtime (busy suffering from my disability, which takes a lot out of me) I will re-do this song as I am not totally happy with it.

Best regards

George

Hi George,

It's good to see that people are still playing around with midi. I don't do nearly enough of that. Thanks for posting! Your songwriting keeps on getting better with each post. I really liked the laid-back rhythm to this one. It had a pleasantly relaxed feel.

Regards,
Noel

George,

Nicely done. The production is a perfect match for the song. I really liked the subtle strings in the chorus. Well done.

I agree with your comment.

Don't dismiss the midi styles as there are some really good ones.

Thanks for taking a listen and your nice comments blush
