Hi, friends !

I had set my mind on doing something BB:ish so I chose
the BIAB style Fusion Shuffle 2 for the job. This is a true story
from way back when me and my singer buddies used to gather in
our Volkswagen (BUG)to harmonize. The acoustics in the car were just
unbelievably tight so it was a real treat to sing there !
Hope you like it:

Here are the lyrics:

I`D LOVE TO DO IT AGAIN (Music and words by Dani)

I wanna write this tune about some friends of mine
before my time runs out, or I may lose my mind
I do recall those days of youthood gay
we used to play so carefree away
we used to sing and ring those famous tunes of the day

We used to take my car and cram it full of boys
a bunch of harmonizers making sweeter noise
the car enhanced our sound, oh what a choice
was the sum of every harmony voice
It was so lovely, lovely that I can still rejoice

We used to drive right down along the coastline street
and as we parked the car we started to tap our feet
and all the boys they started to woodshed then
and soon the music filled the air of that den
oh what a feelin´, feelin´ I´d love to do it again
Ref:

It was so long ago, I can remember so
but to this little boy, a time of joy
today the time is done, and all the singers gone
reminiscing here all alone

Verse:
The guys were Mike and Rab and Pat the base and me
and often someone else would join our company
within that bug of song the time stood still
as the overtones hit the sill
sending goosebumps, goosebumps down our spines with a chill

Ref:
It was so long ago, I can remember so
but to this little boy, a time of joy
today the time is done, and all the singers gone
reminiscing here all alone

We used to drive right down along the coastline street
and as we parked the car we started to tap our feet
and all the boys they started to woodshed then
and soon the music filled the air of that den
oh what a feelin´, feelin´ I´d love to do it again
oh what a feelin´, feelin´ I´d love to do it again
oh what a feelin´, feelin´ I´d love to do it again

Hello Guenter !

I´m glad you liked the harmonies.
I think I put in a little too
much (woodshedding) and it got
too compact, but at certain places
the harmonies are nice I admit ! (LOL)

This brought back some fond memories! We used to sit around, play and sing just for the fun of it back in the ol’ days! You know what I mean! Back when there was more to a song than bass, drums and rhymes. Songs had voices that you could hear over the music and there was a melody! I guess I’m just an old fart reminiscing again.

Oh, BTW I really like this song!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Dani,

That one had to have taken a fair amount of work!
Sounds cool...

Hello, Mario !

Thank you for your more than kind words !
Yes I know exactly what you mean !
It was woodshedding for what it was worth ! (LOL) !
Nowadays I have mostly to woodshed with myself
(that is not completely true as I am holding
a course in barbershop singing and there I get
to sing in ad hoc quartets (LOL)) !

I am a member of Nashville based BHS
(Barbershop Harmony Society) and have been for
14 years already ! (LOL) !

Floyd !

It did not take as much time as expected
as the voices are just improvised and
not written down and learned ! That is why
there is too much going on, but Floyd, I got
carried away so I added a little too much
to it ! I am very glad you found this cool, my friend !

Cheers

Dani,

All been said. Cool song, lot of rich harmonies. I always liked the Beach Boys, so this brings back some good memories.

What could be better than that ?
Harmonizing with old friends is

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
