Hi everyone! As promised, I've just created a new site where I plan selling some realDrums(at very low prices, just 1$ per RD right now) while offering some of them for free every few weeks.

www.realdrumsforbiab.com

Currently there are 31 RealDrums to download, in different styles, but the collection is growing. There are demos of all of them and there is F.A.Q. section, where you can find more information. And you can downlaod the free RD of this month just clicking on the Download Section.

I will be happy to hear your comments and suggestions.

Thanks!

Hi
The hyper-link in the first line of the text listed on the web site incorrectly has a comma instead of a period after the text 'www'

"Supercharge your Band in a Box arsenal with the new RealDrums for BIAB!"

The hyperlink in the text Band in a Box points to:

http://realdrumsforbiab.com/www,pgmusic.com

Thanks everybody!

Yes, I plan creating new collections, and all your suggestions are really wellcome.

Yes, I've corrected that hyperlink, and several other mistakes on the web, thanks for pointing out. The problem is that, not being an english native speaker myself, is very difficult to avoid serious orthographic and grammatical mistakes here and there. So, if there's somebody out there wishing to help me to correct the text (it shouldn't take more than one hour, I think, and of course I'd offer him or her the download links for free and a BIG thank you), please contact me (PM here or through the web).

Hi RHARV, thanks for the clarification, the link definitely had a typographical error as I right-clicked and selected copy link location and it showed: http://realdrumsforbiab.com/www,pgmusic.com

But now the new link you sent doesn't work at all for me:

http://realdrumsforbiab.com/news/

When using with Firefox it takes me to

When using with IE 10, it takes me to:

Maybe the link 'http://realdrumsforbiab.com/news/' works for others?

Regards

VideoTrack

This isn't a 'Page Not Found' error (404), which is typical for a bad link.

It's a 'Server Not Found' type error; your browser couldn't even find the server to see if the page existed .. and it works for others, so ..
Think connection issue. Maybe an internet router went down between you and the server.

The old link looked just like you described, but the new link works here.

Hello,

Of course interested in the "goodies" for BiB...
You write:
"I am not native speaker"... Which is your mother tongue?
I could help with french and/or spanish/or German... If you might be interested
in "international" business.

Hi Rharv, thanks for the feedback, and I'm definitely not suggesting that your observations aren't correct,

I checked again in Firefox - and also in IE Version 10. I clicked on the link as shown here (IE 10)

For me, it took me to a web page that seems to come from the Author, and the web page that the link navigates to apparently advises that the required page wasn't available. Not saying it is a problem for everyone, but it seems to be a potential problem for some... Here's a screen capture of exactly what I received when I click on the highlighted link above:

Appreciate you advising that is is working for some, and certainly not suggesting that you are not correct, but just showing what I get, by way of screen capture, in case there is a problem for others too.

Thanks for the ongoing support to all of the BIAB contributors.

Best regards

Videotrack

Bernard: thank you very much for you offer, but at this moment I don't have any plan to publish the site in any language other than English. By the way, my first language is Spanish smile

Videotrack: thank you for the report, I'll definitively check that.

All the others : thanks again for your input, this is really a great community!

Videotrack is correct, that Band in a Box link is wrong.

It looks like he forgot the http:// in the coded link, so the server is looking in the current folder (this is the usual cause of such an error).
If there is no http:// in front of a link, the typical behavior for a server is to treat it as a relative link from the page it is on, in this case the /news folder.

Adding http:// in front of www.pgmusic.com should fix it.

It looks to me like that link was supposed to return to the PGMusic website.

I wouldn't worry about that......... I am assuming that it is just a "new site" issue. Cerio has been around here for awhile, so you should be getting your realdrum stuff soon. I downloaded his first free one when he made that available and it worked great. I will be looking at adding some realdrums here soon. Tech issues when starting out always work to make you look unresponsive! Hopefully he will respond to you here ASAP.

Well actually the 'http://' was there last week and is gone now, so the person setting up the links needs a bit of further adjusting...

This week:

More work needed?

Hi Frank, I'm sorry of hearing that. I sent you the links just a few hours after you placed your order . Maybe it was automatically detected as spam, you can check your spam inbox.

Anyway, I've just sent you the links again with my personal email, please let me know if you're still having problems with the download.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

And thank you very much, VideoTrack and rharv for your reports. I've been out of my work computer a couple of days, but the link should be correct now.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
