Tom - I'll listen to this when I can get Soundcloud to respond....

Does anyone else have this problem???? (And know a solution?? - and please don't say "you need to upgrade.." - it's all recent stuff...)

Only on certain Soundcloud posts, nothing happens when you click play. The pause icon appears, but it doesn't start playing. Yet, if I go to some other Soundcloud post, that other one will play fine. Go back to the one that doesn't play and it still doesn't work.

Sometimes closing the browser down and deleting history solves it, sometimes not. A reboot always solves it.

Anyone?

Floyd, I've had that happen. It corrected itself eventually without me doing anything.

Well.. Don - must have been your magic touch somehow... without doing anything.. going back to it 20 minutes later, it played...

Tom -

Another terrific one! Cool song - what a great idea! Really well played. Good production and mix. Good vocal - just the right amount of relaxed.

Good job on the harmonica cut-n-paste. Hard to go wrong with that RT. The organ RTs (all) need a little more "punch" to them IMO. They are far too timid....

Your guitar lead is super! Tasty. But I thought it needed to be a little more out front. It's worth "showing off" - but it seems content to "blend in" with the mix.

Great job on this.

I'm a sucker for the blues...working on one now. This is great all the way around. Fine vocals, lyrics and guitar break. Only nit and I think it's been mentioned -- pull that guitar UP! It's too good to be that absorbed in the mix. Thanks for posting.

Same issue here, plus add that to the fact that very very often after I login onto the forum (and I am shown that I am logged on) as soon as I click a specific forum I am kicked out. Often I have to reboot at least a couple of times before I can actually respond or post.

Therefore that is why I am late to many of the postings and new songs.

Scott, Herb, and Dani, Thanks for listening and commenting.

Don and Danny, i don't know what's going on with Soundcloud. I just recently started posting there, so my experience is limited.

Floyd and Bud, Thanks for pointing out the mix problem. I fixed it but maybe went too far. Mixing drives me crazy. It's better to have more ears. This is a perfect

example of how we can use this forum to help each other learn. Thanks for listening and you were 100% right on the mix. Tom

This is a cool one Tom. Love your playing, the change in pickup in the solo was just right.

Soundcloud glitch:
I keep getting that problem also. I use IE10 but all works as it should if I visit Soundcloud via Google Chrome. I also found recently that I can't upload song title photos in IE10, but that also works ok in Chrome.

It's a bit poor of Soundcloud that their site software doesn't play nicely with such a universal piece of software like EI10.

John, Thanks for the comments. I think what I will do is post everything on Soundclick as well as the 24 bit wav file on Soundcloud.

Tommy,

What a cool perspective - a minute after midnight.... Great sound on the guitar and your playing always adds that extra sparkle. Vocal is spot on. What's not to like...

Good stuff.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
