After setting up 2014 I am getting a N/A in the "Assign real Tracks" dialog for several bass tracks. According to the info on the application(downloaded) for "realtracks200-205" there are no bass tracks. However the website lists several Neil Swainson bass tracks on the 202 real tracks package. And they are listed that way in the "Assign real Tracks" dialog as in set 202 but N/A. Are they suppose to be in there or not?
I just downloaded 2014 last night 12/17. That update is for 12/12 and before. I shouldn't have to do that. The application text info from the download does not list the bass tracks at all for 202. Only bouzouki tracks.
I emailed PG support a number of time, though they replied giving new link for set 202 (that didn't work) no solution so far, I don't even think they look at it as a bug.
It has to be since none of set 202 is by that artist, totally different instruments.
Guess its something just to live with, don't have the NA box ticked bottom left corner of realtracks dialog then they won't show.
Probably in my case, I would much prefer them to work on the missing buttons in the further right dropdown menu in the GUI toolbars if screen resolution is set different.
I have all of those tracks listed in my Real Tracks Picker. Click on the Real Tracks icon, choose bass at the upper left and scroll through the bass tracks. I have all of those Swainson tracks there. I hope you can enlarge the pic. Later, Ray

Ray, They are not there as yours are. Yours are listed as being in set 202 as mine is. However, when I go back to the downloaded application for 200-205 they are not listed in there at all.
I don't know that I would ever use these tracks but it would be nice have them.
Your primary download doesn't necessarily include the latest updates. It won't hurt anything for you to install #379. Updates #376-377-378 are included in #379. There were some tracks missing earlier that have been included in the updates. Later, Ray

Did you try to re-install once more? I just looked at my installation (build 278!) downloaded on the 15th. My bass files of set 202 are there in good working condition.
Yes, 2 and 3 are awfully close together on a keyboard.
What I meant is: did you try to install the respective RealTracks file once more? It could be that the first time there was some action in your computer's inner workings to skip installing (or not writing the directory entry) of these files.
I have exactly the same problem, and everything is up-to-date. What is also odd is that the amount of styles shown in brackets after style 202 is 8, but I only have 7 styles, all bouzouki.
It's also interesting that the bass styles are not on the HD from PGM, although I confess that is not up-to-date....although it does have 8 bouzouki styles, not 7.....just to really confuse me.

Having the same problem and contacted support + live help. I know its coming up to Christmas and everyone is slowing down but it would be nice to have an acknowledgement from PG that a problem does exist with this and might be sorted when they get the time.

I have been made aware of this by several users. We are looking into it. I will be testing several shipping installations to figure out why it is showing up for most and not for others. Hang in there and we will get it addressed.
Those bass styles aren't part of set 202, they are part of earlier RealTracks sets. So you can just ignore that for now, we'll address that typo in the next patch.
Thanks Andrew and Rob and a happy Christmas to you both, well while we are at it, to those who celebrate Christmas a happy and peaceful one to one and all.

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
