This is another one of those I don't know what genre this is. Elements of Rock, Blues and Country. As always Comments/Suggestions encouraged.

My vocals and lead guitar.

I Don't Want To Talk About It

You left me. Without any kind of warning

It killed me to wake up without you in the morning

I won't run this race again we can't get back together

I don't want to talk about it I almost want for you to stay

I don't want to talk about it. Girl I've got to get away

You headed south chasing all your dreams

You told me that everything is not what it seems

I don' t think that I've got it in me to get back together

I don't want to talk about it I almost want for you to stay

I don't want to talk about it. Girl I've got to get away

Late last night I hear you knocking at my door

Talking and crying and saying things like just once more

If we tried it again you know that we won't stay together

I don't want to talk about it I almost want for you to stay

I don't want to talk about it.Girl I've got to get away

Nice rocker...

Who among us hasn't lived that one? Been there, done that, got the scars to prove it.

I enjoyed the song.

Tom...

Man! The first thing that hit me was WHAT A GREAT MIX this is! Everything right were it needs to be. GREAT sound on the drums.
Guitars at just the right level and pan. The sound of the lead
is nothing short of amazing - stereo? how'd you do that?!?!

And the vocal is crisp and clear, and yet, nestled in with the instrumentation perfectly. Not buried and not out front - what a rock vocal should be. Nice, TIGHT harmonies, again!

Oh..and.. a good write. Simple, but still saying something.

I like everything about this.

Tom, that is a fine rocker and your lead just works so well with the RT's. It sounds like pickers who've been together on the road and developed that tight sound that comes only from that. Otherwise, I can't add much to what floyd has already well stated -- it's one of those rare birds that works on levels.

BTW, thank you very much for the info re the "Sacred Steel" tradition. Since you aren't set up for PM's I made some comments in the thread responding to you and also modified my original post.

Very good tune you have here.

Herb, Thanks for checking in on this one.

floyd, Thanks for your kind words. That lead is tweaked in logic in the stereo spread. Ozone does the same thing if you put it on just that one channel and play with the stereo imaging. I panned it way to the back about 1 or 2 o'clock. Thanks again.

Bud, Thanks for the listen and comments. Those BIAB guys are a tight bunch.

Dani, Glad you picked up on the unusual progression. Thanks

Al, Thanks for listening and commenting.

Gruverider, Thanks for your nice comments.

Hey Tommy,

This time I concentrated on your guitar playing and you're laying down some hurtin' licks, telling the story with another voice. That's wicked guitar, man.

To tell the truth - and this is strictly my personal preference, which I admit to have carried to the ultimate extreme - is that people not use BIAB exclusively but play an instrument too, if possible. It makes the tune more personal and when you play well, as you do, more powerful. You're among the best story tellers on this Forum.

This is a GREAT sounding track. Outstanding mix - one of the best I've ever heard on here. (If it weren't for that partially cut off g on the beginning of "girl" in one spot it would be perfect. LOL - couldn't resist that one Tommy.)

Great arrangement, loved the vocal treatment, cool guitar and again great mix.

Well done.

Dean, Thanks for the nice words. I always look forward to what you have to say.

Josie! I never even heard that! You got me. Now because of my comments on other peoples songs I have to go back and fix that. LOL. Thanks for your extremely generous comments. I really do appreciate it.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
