Kiss Me Slowly on Youtube

Kiss Me Slowly on Soundcloud

Hi All. This one is something completely different for me. A love song plain and simple!

I wrote it in response to an opportunity for a slow and romantic song for the end of a movie. Something you could do a slow dance to.

I hope you enjoy it and comments are most welcome as usual.

Realtracks are
RealTracks in song: 533:Bass, Electric, 12-8 Crystal Sw 065
RealTracks in song: ~526:Guitar, Acoustic, Fingerpicking Hank Sw 065
RealTracks in song: 895:Piano, Acoustic, Solo-Accompaniment PopSlow12-8 Ev 060
RealDrums in Song: Pop128^1-a:SideStick, HiHat , b:Snare, Ride
Some MIDI strings were added.

Harmonies are mostly me with some BIABettes to thicken up the sound.

Very nice indeed Josie. Beautifully delivered.

PS: The Soundcloud link doesn't go to this song (for me anyway!)

When it first started it reminded of "Young Love." Very nice. Enjoyed the listen.

I would have liked the harmonies a little louder.
But that's just my taste.

Beautiful song and I think the stylistic difference is a very good fit for you. I hope you occasionally will grace us with more of these gems in the future.

Nice job on that, Joanne. Good balance on the instruments (the drums could be a little louder). The reverb you used on your vocal is very nice. Nice harmonies...

Nice.

Was I supposed to get kind of excited? Because I did. Wonderful write! (I'm hearing some distortion in the lead vocal esp. on the O's like "On" and "hold")

Hi Rich – thanks so much. I am so glad you found it delightful

John – Thanks so much for finding the time to listen to my song. I do hope to hear you back on the forums shortly and I am holding thumbs for both you and your wife. I fixed the soundcloud link. Thanks for pointing it out.

Hi Charlie (McG) – Thanks so much. I take it that it is Sonny James you are referring to http://youtu.be/pU_8D5jBqd0

Hi Guenter – thanks for that. I will probably redo this one as the lead vocals are a bit distorted (as Lawrence picked up). I am working on a different computer (I spilled tea all over my usual one) and am battling with the sound setup.

Hi Charlie (Fogle) – Thank you for you kind comments. I will definitely consider doing more of these sorts of projects in the future.

Floyd – thanks. I may redo this and will bring up the drums if I do.

Dani – Thanks you for your sweet comments. I always appreciate them

Lawrence – Hopefully it was the singing that got to you and not the corny video. Ha ha. I do think there is some distortion and it has been worrying me. Battling with a different computer so will probably redo it.

Great vocals, Joanne. It has a little female Roy Orbison sound to me. Very nice!

Very, very nice. That acoustic guitar sounds really good and the vocal is sitting right where, by my ears, it oughta be. I'm with floyd on the vocal reverb -- perfect for your voice.

Simple love songs are what the world needs more of.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Eric, Bud, Steve, Josie and Tommy - thanks for your nice comments. So glad you liked it. I enjoyed singing it too!

I agree with Tommy on the distortion on the vocals.

I will rerecord it once I have figured out how to do that without distortion on this funny old computer!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
