I am thankful today for my:

M-Audio Audiophile 192 PCI Card which I bought on Nov 15, 2009 for $169 USD and has provided great service through two PC's over the past 5 years.

Behringer MX602A 6 Channel Mixer - in use further back than I have records.

Reaper and all those wonderful VST plugs that run so well in it.

BIAB (of course) grin .

I'm thankful for the many friends here on the PGMusic forum, who have enriched my life by sharing their music and their creative ideas so freely! I hope the friendship and creative collaboration continue for many years to come!

I'm also thankful for the amazing software that brings us all together in one place! Thanks to Peter Gannon and all of the people at PG Music for adding such value to my life, and to the lives of everyone who uses their products!

1rst, I am so very thankful for my wife. Met her 50 years ago Nov 21.
Married 49 years ago last may.
We had some very hard times in early years, but with guidance, luck, hard work
and blessings have had a good life.

As above am thankful for the folks on PG forums. Their mentoring, guidance
and steering things in right directions.
Grateful for all the work that PG Music folks do for us, and way we are treated.

The BIAB system is a unique piece of software that has contributed more "fun",
joy and music all over the world.

Sorry bout mushy stuff, but its important.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you folks from Frank and Tessie.

Of course I am most thankful for my family and friends.
As to music gear I am thankful for it is BIAB.
It has changed my life.
I have been retired for several years (band teacher) and immediately
after retiring I began play and arrange songs using BIAB.
Gigging after retirement was mostly senior centers and retirement
homes. I soon realized the live musicians that were hiring me were
not as good as the real band "players".
I set out to create one hour performances so I could do solo
presentations. To date it has been most rewarding. My set lists and
arrangements are constantly changing which keeps me very involved.
I have 4 locations where I perform at least once a month and
several others that call periodically.
Yesterday alone I had 3 one hour gigs.
Happy Thanksgiving to all...

"Music gear to be thankful for."

We have a ton of really cool gear, but none of it has the value that that little hard drive has. You know, the one with BIAB/RB on it. grin

Happy Thanksgiving to Peter and the entire crew.

Regards,

Bob

Every year I live I find I have more to be thankful for.
A great partner, lovely daughters, fantastic grandchildren.
Unbelievable friends, and also unmet "friends" on this forum.
The "gift" of music ability to play a number of instruments and the musical accomplishments past, present, and future.
Being able to afford the musical "toys" such as: guitars, mandolin, fiddle, PA, recording gear and BIAB.
And most importantly that I live in North America where all this opportunity and freedom exists. Have an enjoyble Thanksgiving! DennisD

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
