Hi,
Just got the 2015 Ultrapak, I set everything up, recorded a midi melody part, BUT, when I clicked on the Leadsheet to see my melody, it is not on the Melody track. Its now on the "Piano" or P part. How do I record directly to the Melody track, and how do I move my Piano part to the Melody track??

Hi Edward,
If you recorded your melody using a piano patch, then the label of the Melody track will be renamed "Piano". In reality, though, it is still the Melody track. This could be the problem.
The Melody track is always one to the left of the Soloist track, whatever name it might have.
For what it's worth, it's not possible to record midi on anything other than the Melody or the Soloist tracks.

Hi Noel,
Thanks for the quick response. I'm just confused, because I need to move the melody to the melody track so that I can see it when I'm practicing in the Jukebox, I don't want to have to click from P to M, I want it to be automatic.....any thoughts on how I can do this?

Hi Edward, If you recorded a melody, it can only be recorded in two places: (a) the Melody Track and (b) the Soloist track. With the introduction of version 2015, these tracks now get renamed depending on what instrument is located on them. Even though that happens, they are STILL the Melody Track and the Soloist Track. Have a look at the image below ...  The Melody Track has been renamed "Reed" because it has a midi clarinet on it. The Soloist Track has been renamed "Piano" because it has a midi piano on it. Because of this, the Melody Track gets an "R" on the lead sheet and the Soloist Track gets a "P". These are STILL the Melody and Soloist Tracks, though. It doesn't matter what letter they have on them. How to identify the tracks ... SOLOIST TRACK = the button on the far right MELODY TRACK = the button immediately to the left of the Soloist button You don't have to press a different button, it's always the button that's second from the right for the Melody Track. Thanks, Ed. It's a bit confusing when one is used to the old way of doing things! Confusing to say the least. The problem is you still have to understand the "old way". This will be a serious stumbling block for newbees.

Just to clarify, I did go to the Solo menu and clicked on "Send to Melody Track". Now the parts look different...."V" P" V"
WTH???? Can't we just go back to recording a melody and seeing it in the Leadsheet under "Melody"???????
