Just to set the scene.

An elderly friend of mine is suffering dementia.
Nothing to laugh about though the story is amusing.

He went in to hospital for an operation and fought with the nurses
believing the Illuminati wanted his body parts.

Not long after returning home he was found early one morning in his dressing gown
fully equipped with bandolier and double barrel coach gun.

His son had to the rescue and relieve him of the offending weapon.
His son told me that he wouldn't have had the strength to pull the hammers back any way.

Sad but also funny in away.

So being a sucker for a good story I took some poetic licence and wrote what I hope you are about listen to.

One small item I must explain is all my original BB files are on a external hard drive that decided to stop working so I cant give any real details on the style.

The song was however edited in Reaper.

I hope you like it.

Regards Rob

Oooh the Illuminati's coming Oooh .
I had a thought just the other day the Illuminati's'coming gonna take me away.
I have my coach gun and a bandolier hide the pumpkin patch drinking beer.

The Illuminati's coming gonna take me away.
I'm gonna kick and scream I'm gonna have my say.

I've got my dressing gown tied in a bow I know Karate but they don't know.
I saw some old coot just snooping around his trouser where black but his shoes where brown.

The Illuminati's coming gonna take me away.
I'm gonna kick like a mule I'm gonna make them pay.

Chorus
They wanna take little pieces of my brain.
They wanna take a cross section of my spleen.
Wanna know what I know wanna know where I've been.

Fill

Chorus
They wanna take little pieces of my brain.
They wanna take a cross section of my spleen.
Wanna know what I know wanna know where I've been.

I heard em talking on the old Morse Code.
Called up the police wanna block the road.

The Illuminati's gonna wreck my day saw ten of em hiding in a bale of hay.
The Illuminatis's coming gonna take me away.
Ill get some salt and peter I'm gonna give em a spray.

They got my DNA from a postage stamp.
Down by the creek there's a CIA camp.

Cameras and mikes hidden in the trees right next to my hive of African killer bees.

Hey wrote this on in the last few months.

The Illuminati's coming gonna take me away.
While the sun is shinning I'll be smiling today.

Chorus
They wanna take little pieces of my brain.
They wanna take a cross section of my spleen.
Wanna know what I know wanna know where I've been.

Oooh the Illuminati's coming Oooh the Illuminati's Oooh

You have the skill to pull it off. Very well written and a great listen. Humor from a difficult subject is not easy to achieve but you've done a nice job.

I've had the pleasure to listen to your three recent User Forum posts and I'm becoming quite a fan. Looking to hear more from you soon.

Hi Rob,

A good write, you have a very good singing voice, and you tell the story well. The backings give it that Monty Python twist.

Cute song!! Interesting idea to make the musical style kind of relaxed and lazy in conjunction with the paranoid desperate theme. Well done! Take care. Greg

I like also.

This very funny but at the same time very sad. But you pulled it off!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Hi Rob,

Although it's a sad story, it's turned into a nice song.
Also nice vocals and backing vocals.
Well done.

Hi Rob,

I thought you had a little bit of Elvis going on there. The whole style of the song could eaily have been something he'd have done. And there is a resemblance in your voice.

What an irony that we claw our way through this life to whatever degree our intellect will allow... until time steals the intellect and hands us over to life, only to have even that stripped away in the end.

Good job

from the humorous side !!!

OH wonderful, sweet paranoia! Great lyrics!

Don't bury your vocal in the mix bring it up where it belongs!

much enjoyed!

Oh, and I really liked the vocal part over the "fill" section, nice creative touch.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
