Guenter, thanks for commenting. The forum consensus is lyrically, this song is worth rebuilding and I had actually started some work on a sgu file after Pat Marr's suggestion and Herb's evaluation in early replies.

Hi Charlie,
This is a great song. I reckon Herb is on to something when he says to rebuild it rather than try to incorporate the original into the mix. It would be interesting to hear the two versions side by side and see which works better.
I'm going back to another listen. This is definitely a composition to be proud of.

Boy, that really sounds like "how they used to write 'em". Classic.
Nice that you are working to enhance the original. A couple of the licks stop a little abruptly, but there are several that work well...
Listened a few times and it really gets into your head in a hurry...

My friend Austin is responsible for most of the lyrics on this and he can write from the heart because his heart has been there and done that. At the time, we both thought the Yamaha workstation and a harmonizer was the solution for a demo backing band...... Charlie

Charlie, This is maybe your best vocal. You did an admirable job of playing the background instruments. The timing on the guitar fills is off a little and I also think it would be a good idea to take your vocal and lay it on top of newly constructed tracks. Or just sing it again. I would love to hear an updated version. I have been listening to and playing this style most of my life and this is a good song. Tom Thanks for listening and commenting Tommy. Rob and Anne-Marie, thanks for listening and taking time to comment. I knew the track had flaws but my thought the discussion would be more about adding Real tracks. The song garnered more notice than I thought it would. I have received some great suggestions and helpful offers to get this song on the right track. Hopefully, a better quality update can be posted soon.
