I have checked the forums and could not find anything about this.
What I am trying to do is make the band do changes to walk up and or down from one chord to the next. So if you were in the root C and you wanted to walk or move the band to the 4 chord (F) have them all do a walk to it. Likewise if your root was C and you wanted to walk back from the 5 (G) break the measure into 4 beats and do it that way. It was just a thought.
My thought was that I could break the measure up into 4 beats that I want the change done, I could do this. But I cannot seem to find out how to do this.

To enter 4 chords into a measure - use a comma between each beat
IE: Beats 1 and 2 G,A <ENTER> (this moves the curser to beats 3 and 4) B,C <ENTER>
A four beat measure would appear as G | A | B | C

Ok so then what I was thinking is sort of possible.
So if I understand what you are saying to move from a G-C 1 to a 4 chord you could add put in the measure;
G_A_Bb_B for the walk up.
The C would be in the next measure if I am correct?
And can you tell one instrument only to do this...like the Bass for example? If so how?

Bass follows slash chords so if you want an A chord to play throughout a measure but the bass run to be ABCD then you would enter it as A/A,A/B (ENTER) A/C,A/D.

Ok thank you guys...again very helpful.
New kid on the block here just trying to figure out how this all works.
I did read the manual...somewhat but maybe it was just me but I found it a bit confusing. Especially when it comes to the pushes etc...

Ok one more question then if you don't mind.
How do you have instruments play an intro at the beginning of a song if the intro is not a full measure long...say 2 beats of the measure then the band comes in?
I know you can mute the instruments in the software but that does it till you tell it to play again...

Tony, that's called a pickup bar. When you go into the Editable Notation Mode, you will see you are allowed to enter notes into the measure before Bar 1.

Oh ok...I didn't think you could edit the Real tracks only the Midi tracks...
If you can edit the notation for the real tracks that would be beyond awesome.

Well, you can edit notation for RealTracks, but the RealTracks won't play what you changed. They are fixed and play what was recorded. The RT notation is strictly there for you to see what the original performer is doing.
But you can enter MIDI notes on a MIDI track (either the melody or soloist track, as they don't get rewritten when you regenerate your arrangement) in the pickup bars.
If you want a RealTrack to play some sort of pickup, you need to fake it by resting the other instruments in bar one and having the RealTrack come in somewhere in Bar One, and then the song really starts in Bar Two. But you won't be able to tell the RealTrack what to play. It's going to play whatever BIAB generates for that part. That's how RealTracks work.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
