Alek,
Very nice arrangement. Kept my interest throughout the song.

Dean,
Always loved this song except when performed by U2. This version is up to your extremely high standards, I thoroughly enjoyed the few listens.
But I just hoped that my computer would not self destruct in 5 seconds after I had chosen to listen!!!
Good to hear you back

Just great. Rhythmically this must have been a beast to create. A LOT of work I'd imagine.
Very cool engaging listen that is WELL worth repeat listens.
Kudos!

Hey Tommy,
I just got through listening to you and Martin Jones on Conundrum. Holy Whatnot, man! I haven't put my SC comment in yet, but your knife-edged blues playing had me feeling around the carpet for my eye balls. Very good B3 and bass there. That can't RealBand, gotta be a Real Band!
Oh yeah, I'm glad you liked Mission Impossible.

Alyn,
First, thank you for your kind welcome. This is not a lie: The computer DID self-destruct ... however, as much as I'd like to think it was overpowered by my guitar playing, it turned out to be a complete coincidence. That's one of the reasons I've been away so long: trying to get the blasted thing repaired and, ultimately, having to replace it. Hard drives, like any mechanical device, eventually wear out and three years of relentless pushing was more than enough.
Oh yes, I'm glad you enjoyed Mission Impossible.

Greg,
Thank you so much my friend. I was really touched by the mention of your concern and I want to assure you and all the Forum members that I'm in as good a shape as ever. As I mentioned, the same is not true for my computer, which had been sadistically toying with me during its death throes. If I suffered anything, it was the Mother of All Headaches.
I'm just getting used to my new one, except for one thing: It came with Windows 8 !! Just when I thought I didn't need the aspirin bottle anymore. Where's Gates? Lemme at 'im !!
Oh, and thanks for the kind words about Mission Impossible.

Hi Guenter,
Thank you for your kind welcome. It's good to be back, but I won't be submitting that much in the future because of a certain word I've heard more than once applied to me. Maybe now is the time for someone, perhaps you, to explain what a "dumper" is. Whatever it is, it doesn't sound good and my first guess was that it was someone who gluts up the Forum with too many submissions. Am I right on that? I'll freely admit that I'm not the best Forum member if all the criteria are applied. I never should have won that BIAB contest and I was flabbergasted that Dani did not win.
Anyway, I'm glad you like Mission Impossible.

Hey Mike,
Now there's a humbling compliment. Thank you, my friend - and it's good to be back after fighting a battle to the death with my previous computer. I'm not sure who won. Can you be poisoned by too many hours on the phone with Sweetwater Tech Support?

What more can I say than "sensational".
Loved your playing on all instruments: 'Versatile Virtuoso'
If only you added drums you wouldn't have needed the band!
Thanks a million, enjoyed it to the very last note

Floyd,
Thank you - and what about that amazing coincidence with Tom Adams. What are the chances that there could be two blues guitar playing Tom Adams's, in a playing-ability photo finish. I like to boast that I can identify any player inside of ten notes - not true, of course - but in this case I was completely fooled. I know our Tom Adams' sound pretty well and as far as blues guitar playing goes, he's very tough to beat. It's a kudo to the other Tom that he could confound me like that!

Peter,
Thank you kindly. I noticed you got some real heavyweights to do RealTracks, but I must tell you that Pat Martino, Kenny Barron and Ron Carter - of all the people - did a disappointing job. I was wondering if you'd be interested in some RealTracks from ... me! You can get them at the highly discounted price of ... FREE! My approach would be progession-based. As you know, there are two iconic progression in jazz: the blues, and rhythm changes. I would do these at various tempos and levels of complexity with varying instrumentation. At the outer limits, the blues can take advantage of every chord in the your "chord builder."
You may find this interesting: During my time away, I thought I had a solution to the 3x+1 conjecture (n -> n/2 if n even, n -> (3n+1)/2 if n odd - iterating, every 3x+1 sequence reaches 1). Yes, what every CS student gets as a programming exercise still remains unresolved. I know what a proof should look like, but the devil's in the details, as they say.
Let me know about those RealTracks.

Hi Dean, Maybe now is the time for someone, perhaps you, to explain what a "dumper" is.
A dumper is someone who comes to the forum only to place his songs and doesn't care about the submissions of other people. You can choose if you are one or not. But I would appreciate it if you came here more often. Guenter

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
