Hi. This is written by Arthur Rossi with minor alterations by me. During FAWM while I struggled to write 15 songs Arthur produced 180+ sets of lyrics. Suggestions welcome. https://soundcloud.com/tuigorge/still-lostDrums - RD Nashville even 8 Synths - RT 1395 Euro Dance - RT 2299 Buzz bass Guitar - RT 844 Country Rock Popping Still Lost ( Drifters Song ) arthur rossi and richard mcgrath Shabby coat black boots worn out. You wouldn't want to know where I roam about Where I head for. Why I went away. How such a good for nothing spends his day Still drifting. I played all my cards. My path's paved with memories and broken hearts Your heart's so pure, so young, so cute, you don't need a pair of dusty worn out boots And I ramble... and I ramble... but I'm still lost... Where do people go like me? Ver-mont, Mon-tana and Ten-nessee Shall I leave or shall I stay? For another love-less day? Guys like me they got no home. Come by night. Leave by dawn For Ver-mont, Mon-tana and Ten-nessee I'm a drifter. My spirit's free. No-one found bliss that ever fell for me. No time for family or fancy suits. I need freedom, my coat, my dusty boots And I ramble... and I ramble... But I'm still lost... Where do people go like me? Ver-mont, Mon-tana and Ten-nessee Shall I leave or shall I stay? For another love-less day? Guys like me they got no home. Come by night. Leave by dawn For Ver-mont, Mon-tana and Ten-nessee And I ramble... and I ramble... But I'm still lost... Still lost

Rich,
That is so different and I like the way it builds up. Interesting selection of RTs and they work so well together.
I thoroughly enjoyed that. The only suggestion I have is keep 'em coming!!

Cool tune and cool feel Rich!! The one thing that doesn't work for me is that synth bass. I feel it is a little too intense for the feel of the song and the melody. Other than that, I dig it!! Take care. Greg

What a unique song and arrangement. Even though you posted the ReaTracks I did not pay attention to the list and was caught by surprise. The song title led me to believe I was going to hear a lonesome, plantive tune but NO! Here's this pulsating beat and joyful singing, I love it! Never judge a song by its title.
I like your arrangement. I would have never thought of it and it works well in this song. Nice job on an interesting song.

This why I love BiaB and so many of the members here. I read the lyric first as I often do. Cool story with great imagery for sure.
Then I paid attention to the RT's. Hmmm that's assuredly an odd mix -- not that Janice and I are not guilty of the same.
Then I listened to the production. I'm not huge on synths...but the use here certainly got my attention! At first it seemed to dominate my listening but as the song progress it seem to become more part of the groove or I mellowed or something else happened! Whatever, by the end of the tune I was hooked and went back for another listen.
Cool
Bud

Thanks Alyn. Glad you enjoyed it and yup got heaps more. Cheers.
Hi Charlie. Glad you enjoyed it. Arthurs lyrics really caught my attention. Cheers.
Hi Guenter. I try not to be boring but sometimes get a bit strange. Cheers.
Thanks Greg. You are probably right about the Buzz Bass but I'm afraid I have a weakness for it. Cheers.
Thanks Jim. Your comments are very encouraging and it's such fun to try and surprise people! Ha Ha. Cheers.
Hi Bud. Thanks for the wonderfully detailed comments. Without RealBand I wouldn't have so much fun. I think the Country Rock Popping guitar makes the song. Cheers.
Thank you Lawrence. Appreciate your listening and comment. Cheers.

Wow... You continue to defy expectations. And just when I think I've got the song figured out, you add the guitar. Not really the direction I'd every think to go, but it certainly catches the ear!

Richard,
Cool song. I like it.
The production is interesting. The guitars work really well. I found the synth a bit distracting - but it blended very well while the guitars were playing - is that because you turned it down there or it just fit so well with the guitars?
Good lyric.

Hi David. Thanks for the comment. I enjoyed it. Makes me chuckle. Cheers.
Thanks Floyd. I always respect your comments. Fair enough about the synth. I don't really remember but suspect the rest of the song just came up to the synth level. Guess there's a bit of the headbanger still in me. Cheers.

We have to agree with Alyn here: a cool buildup and quite a full sound for only three real tracks! Well done!

Hi SpaceDog. Thanks for listening and for your comment. Cheers.
Thanks Dan for listening and commenting. I guess music is a bit meaningless without listeners. Cheers.

Hi Richard, Words that sprang to mind as I listened were... unique, different, catchy, rhythmic, inventive, interesting. You've done it again and found yet another new direction to explore musically! I enjoyed the journey. All the best, Noel

Hi Richard,
Strong arrangement, still you tell the story in your own style. It shows your versatility.
Great listen!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
