I WILL ALWAYS BE HERE (with Floyd Jane)

A collaboration album would not be complete without a contribution from FJ!

Although, I already have Perfect Friends that I can use for the album, Floyd kindly offered to do a version of I Will Always Be Here. Floyd co-wrote this song with me at the beginning of 2013 when I was just starting out on my song-writing journey. I had sent Floyd a very rough version of the song and asked if he would be interested in collaborating with me on it. Floyd agreed and took the time to explain each and every decision made on it. This set me on a straight path with my song writing from then-on out.

The result of our initial collaboration was this most wonderful tribute from parent to child. Floyd recently told me that he had always thought of the song as a sort of “Mum’s song” but after looking at it again, saw that it could just as easily be a “Dad’s song”. Floyd made the wonderful “Grrr” video to go with the song.

Thank you Floyd for all the help you have given me over the last two and half years.

Enjoy! (And comments are always welcome)

Hi Joanne and floyd.

This is a fantastic creation and presentation. The video is perfect! The credits at the end made me smile... and I'm still smiling.

... great lyrics, great melody, very tastefully arranged, top notch performance and masterful mix. As Ira Gershwin once wrote, "Who could ask for anything more!" I certainly can't think of anything else smile

It's lots of enthusiastic applause from me.

All the best,
Noel

P.S. Boy you two know how to make a hoping-to-get-there-one-day kind of songwriter feel envious!!!

Ha ha. That video was unexpected. Wonderful light playful touch there.
Floyd's sincere and warm vocal and Josie's harmony round off a skillful write.
Enjoyed everything there. Cheers.

Another great collaboration. There's a lot to like on both the song and video. Enjoyed my listen and watch..

I hope the actors got at least minimum wage for their efforts.

I really enjoyed this. Just goes to show that 1+1 in songwriting is always greater than the sum of the two numbers.

Super job, well done, it doesn't get better than that.

Great collab you two!

Man, what a sparkling production.

- STRONG vocal
- That piano sounds fantastic.
- Love the outro
- Engaging lyric

Another "floyd high bar" audio production
and now with a floyd vid.

You got those guys to behave
remarkably well. The rocking chair
rocking is a great touch. Like
Charlie said we hope they got at
least union scale.

WTG floyd and Joanne!

Hi Joanne and Floyd,

Noel has nailed it: "... great lyrics, great melody, very tastefully arranged, top notch performance and masterful mix."
Joanne, I wanted to compare with the original but in the PG list of songs there is only one song of yours listed.
It can't be found on soundcloud and the video on youtube is blocked in Germany.

Joanne and floyd, Another great song. My favorite part is the bridge. It just works so well. Great vocal and mix as usual. An unexpected surprise with floyd entering the video realm. Nice job. Tom

Beautifully done!
We especially like the bridge, cool singing line and the string quartet works very nice.

What a wonderfully brilliant idea for the video - it emotionally pulls you into the song on so many levels.

Also sounds terrific.

Love it.

Sounds great - well sung, and a nice choice of instruments. I especially liked the piano, and the cello.

Hi Joanne and Floyd,

Such strong lyrics! I promise you I will be there... allways! This is honest, straightforward, and a real support to the one who receives the message!

Floyd, your production respected and even amplified this feeling.

Hats off for you both!

When the collab thing was going on, I knew it was only a matter of time before the FJ collab was posted. Really sweet song, and Floyd was the perfect one to deliver it. Beautifully put together!! And the string part during "the credits" was very sweet as well. Another great collab!! Take care. Greg

Loved the video, and I thought the strings were a really nice touch, too.

Nice sound, nice lyrics. Wonderful, uplifting song. The "Floyd" version works good for Father's Day and Joanne's version would be a nice play to have on the playlist on Mother's Day.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
