Two 20 year old men are still missing. One, Cody, is my Aide Bobbi's cousin.
The authorities believe that they attempted to 4-wheel across a road washout and were swept away. Police, firefighters, and 100s of volunteers are conducting a foot search but unsuccessful to this hour.
Sorry to hear that Don. I read where a Texas teenage girl was returning home from her Prom and the same thing happened to her. They did find her body though :-(
Those storms have done some serious damage and several lives have been lost because of it.
I hope they found the fairy of good luck to protect them.
But them being that young is often coupled with being terribly inexperienced in evaluating danger. I still hope they got out of their car by themselves and are just stranded somewhere...freezing, hungry, but alive and well regarding the circumstances.
The vehicle has been ditched somewhere in NY State. FBI has gotten involved and is following reports of the lads being kidnapped and in California but still not located.
The waters have receded to the point where last evening about 7 PM, Oklahoma Highway Patrol found the missing vehicle and, sadly, the two boys were both found inside drowned.
Apparently, our first theory was correct - that, being overconfident in their 4-wheeler skills, attempted to cross a washout in the road and were swept away.
It’s not much consolation but at least Bobbi and the family might have closure amid all of the cruel rumors and speculation.
Thanks for your prayers, positive thoughts and emotional support that I shared with Bobbi.
If any good can be gleaned from this tragedy - Some awesome news re Bobbi:
The bands who played Rocklahoma ALL are contributing a concert to the boys. All final expenses have already been paid and a "Bike In" is drawing people in from every State as well as Canada. Those lads had some fabulous friends.
Money can't replace these wonderful lads but eliminating the financial burden on the families is certainly a relief.
This is too late to save the two young Oklahoma lads being buried on Friday, but, hopefully, it can benefit the rest of us.
Think about what you would do when water pressure blocks your exit from your vehicle making it impossible to open the doors. You only have between 20 seconds and 4 minutes to save yourself and your loved ones.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
