Another new one. Nothing special.
All comments welcome.
Rob

Let me take you away

Let me take you away

Sitting by the fire watching sparks drift away.
Your face half lite by the glow.
Every now and then I catch a glimpse of your eyes.
I'm fallen for you baby and you don't know.

Bridge

Let me take you away from your wild and wicked ways.
Please turn back my way and you'll see.

Fill

The flames turn to coals and the desert makes no sound.
The mist forms a carpet on the ground.
You slowly move away as you climb aboard the bus,
I'm fallen for you baby and you don't know.

Bridge

Let me take you away from your wild and wicked ways.
Please turn back my way and you'll see.
The words I try to find though I don't seem so inclined.
Don't go away stay with me.
Oh don't go away stay with me.

Really nice. This is a new favorite for me. Great vocals and harmonies and I love the chord progression. Enjoyed this from start to finish.

Hi Rob,

I enjoyed it. What stood out to me most was how well put together the mix is. It has a great deal of clarity. My impression is that it must have taken a bit of time to get this coming together. It sounds like you're enjoying your new Sonar.

All the best,
Noel

Rob, I like the different structure in this one. That first chord in the bridge is completely unexpected but on repeat listens it works. Nice editing on the fiddle and steel break. Nicely done. Tom

Nice production and mix on that, Rob. One of your best - each instrument choice supporting your vocals.

A haunting story line in your lyric... intriguing.

A good listen.

Your music sounds effortless, and the mixes are completely transparent.

That's quite a feat!

But... there's something about it that sounds like a BiaB backing track, and I'll be darned if I can put my finger on it. The more I listen, the more details I can hear that you've woven into the mix- vocal harmony, various instruments slipping in and out, volume and style changes on the drum, and so on.

Really, an excellent job.

I'm going to guess that it's the drums. Maybe it's the level in the mix, the compression, or just a lack of variety. But they're the only thing in the mix that doesn't convince that I'm listening to a real band.

I hope that made some kind of sense...

Anyway, nicely done.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
