Junior sent me his latest album yesterday along with his permission to share. This one jumped out at me. Sort of a Bob Seeger vibe from the 70s. Don wrote everything on the album (14 tracks) including a collaboration with Seattle DJ, Bob Rivers of Twisted Tune fame. https://app.box.com/s/86fc6yxgi8yikj7l7eyh30htm6cc9gvs(Proud father)

Obvious why you would be proud to share that, Don...
Terrific.
Sounds EXACTLY like a lost Credence song!!!

floyd Floyd, it's history now, but Don was chosen to replace John Fogarty when the other members of CCR were planning a tour called "CCR Revisited". He aces Fogarty. So much so that he appears on every parody album of Bob Rivers of Twisted Tunes fame. Since they are copyrighted by Bob, I can't link them here. Thanks for listening and for commenting.

Here's a link for Floyd. I think this was Junior's first parody for Seattle DJ Bob Rivers, an absolute genius with parodies. This one is quite dated since it mentions Lady Di but Junior nails John Fogarty. http://www.bobrivers.com/#v8710

Can hear why you're a proud Papa. He's really got the Fogarty sound nailed.

Before I read about John Fogerty in your second or third post, I thought about CCR after the first couple of tones...
You have a right to be proud.

Here's another of Jr's parodies that I suggested to Bob Rivers. It's something of a Commuter's Anthem. They will relate. http://www.bobrivers.com/#v8470

Don, I found Bob Rivers many years ago and worked my way through/ listened to most of the songs as the laughter echoed from my little room in Wales!! "The girl with emphysema" was BRILLIANT. Just to name one out of hundreds I was one of the gang at University in the '70's that wrote parodies for our yearly reviews but none came close to twisted tunes. Although we did get a "cease and desist" letter for one!!! RESULT LOL! And I got attacked on stage from the subject of one verse in my "Fixing to die" parody!! in retrospect she was right I do like the story about John Fogerty when his record company sued him for plagiarising himself, LOL Please pass my unending thanks to your son and Mr Rivers for the songs and the inspiration to write some of my stuff!! Alyn

He owns Fogerty! I love that little skip between verses a lot on that song. You should be proud. Apple didn't fall far from that Gaynor tree! Regards, Bob

Sr. should be very proud of Jr.!
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Mario, thanks, my friend. Much appreciated. Bob Rivers couldn't provide a list of Junior's songs and without knowing the titles it's a literal music maze. Here's a perennial favorite for Summer outings and BBQs. Junior does a Bob Rivers CCR parody of Born On The Bayou. I dedicate this one to our mutual friend from Cajun Country, "Alligator Bait", Danny C. http://www.bobrivers.com/#v8649

Don, I think that I have listened to every Twisted Tune there is! I have been a big fan for many years! My understanding is that Jr has parodies on every Twisted Tunes Album and that's roughly 25 albums. Every CCR Fogarty song is Jr. Don sings several X-Mas songs including "Chipmunks Roasting On An Open Fire" and "The Baseball Strike Song" both of which are done in his natural voice. He also does one with Nancy Wilson of Heart. I still communicate with Bob quite regularly. He retired about a year ago. He frequents my niece's karaoke bar in Seattle. Don hangs there too. Don's guitarist on the CCR tunes is Paul Petrillo, a HS classmate. He definitely aces the Fogarty guitar licks.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
