Beach of Bones

I see at last a beach of bones while sitting in the sand
Little coral skeletons are sticking to my hand
The beach becomes a cemetary baking in the sun
A pathway to e-ternal sea from which all life has come

We are land we are sea we are the air we breathe
With constant change we re-arrange be-come what we be-live
We are the past the living earth and love binds us to-gether
The sparkling flow the sunset glow of ripples in a river
And we go on for-ever

The bones of birds, beasts and men and fish that wash a-shore
Ground up rocks and shells and glass, wood and iron and more
These ancient relics call to us a secret sandy song
A promise we can join the potent brew here be-fore long

We are land we are sea we are the air we breathe
With constant change we re-arrange be-come what we be-live
We are the past the living earth and love binds us to-gether
The sparkling flow the sunset glow of ripples in a river
And we go on for-ever And we go on for-ever

Rich,

I never liked the 70's New age music BUT I did like this by you.
You portrayed very vivid images with your words, excellent.

A great way to start my day

Hello Rich,

As always you are producing some very interesting lyrics here! You seem to have a different angle on this every time, which is very original.
The flute works very nicely in this song.

Hi Richard,

I found this song a very interesting walk along a pathway filled with a kaleidoscope of images. The key change took me by surprise! I think it's great how you experiment and invent so freely. The way I see it, that's exactly how music should be. I always look forward to seeing what you bring with you when you post.

All the best,
Noel

Hi Richard,

interesting lyrics again, very strong images.
The flutes give it a Beatlesque touch.
Enjoyable listen.

Hi Alyn.
Am delighted that you enjoyed this one.
There is an old photo of our most popular local ocean beach littered with skeletons.
Probably buried in the sand over the last 1000 years and left uncovered after a big storm.
Got me thinking that the earth is really just a big recycling plant. Cheers.

Richard, Nicely written lyrics. A couple of nice chord changes that set a different mood. This is so original and the longer I listen the more I like it. Really good job. Tom

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
