I still have to write the rest of the lyrics and rewrite those I have , But I would love to get some input Everything is RB/BB instruments'except the bass that is me along with me on vocals. I still have lots of production work to do . song inspired by my wife being on an 8wk trip to Germany at the moment . https://soundcloud.com/karlssohnproduction/dortheas-traveling-blues I am also in the process of discovering my vocal sweet spot I think this song is very close to how I want to sing.

Cool track!! Very soulful and heartfelt. Your vocal style is good but you can get a bit pitchy at times. People vary in their approval of pitch correction software but it's worth thinking about. Enjoyed the track! Take care. Greg

Hi Gerald,

nice blues. I'd push up the bass, especially as you play
it yourself. The drums could come up, too.
Enjoyable listen.

HI Gerald ...

Nice little Blues! We agree with everyone who suggested turning up the bass & drums. Let them drive the song. We think the vocal pocket is fine. We enjoyed our listen ...

Super Blues!

I agree about bringing up the drums and especially the bass.

I also agree about the vocals being pitchy in spots. A touch here and there with pitch correction would help. Just don't pitch correct everything and don't necessarily pitch correct the few notes that need it to perfect pitch. Having some a few cents off adds to the realism of pitch correction IMHO.

You do have a great start here.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Karls,

As others have said, the bass is way to low and the drums are a little low. Regarding your vocal I listened more to the recorded sound than pitch. I'm not sure what you're hearing or hunting for but, yes, I agree it's close to what most would want as a vocal for a blues song. Excellent editing and production on the backing tracks.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
