Hi All. If you've been around the forum for a while, you'll have heard Ellie sing for us. Well this is Ellie's little sister Billie, who at 15 is picking up where Ellie left off to go to university. I've been teaching Billie to play guitar since she was 10 (she's very good), but this is the first singing she's done. So I got to thinking how easy it is to fall in love. Then it gets more difficult. Once you love someone, you start to care what happens to them, you want the best for them, you worry about them and you miss them when they're not there. We all know what's involved, but we do it anyway - it's hard not to. That's where the song came from and in surprisingly few lyrics. Having written it, I found I couldn't sing it in the key where it sounded best, so enter Billie for the first time. I did manage the BVs though! Anyway, she looks better in the video than I would have. So, I hope some of you like it. Started in Realband - the acoustic rhythm is an RT and then the rest tracked up, mixed and mastered in Powertracks. Anyone Can Fall In LoveIt's not hard; anyone can fall in love But it's not easy once you do And everyone knows, exactly what the problem is But no one can resist, when it comes to choose You can hide yourself away But love's gonna find you and there's a price to pay It's gonna hurt, you know it's gonna burn It's gonna set you on fire. Many thanks to all who have time to listen (and watch). ROG.

A very enjoyable listening experience.
The video is quite cute. Billie's expressions throughout are priceless! The opening credits are especially fun...
The song is very catchy (I listened several times). Nice opening... Both the piano and organ are nicely played... The guitar solo is nice in it's simplicity... The background vocals are nice - as always.
Billie has a cool sound - a good throaty rock'n'roll kind of thing. With experience she should have a quite the "driving" vocal style..
I did not care for the clanky hi-hat (I never do) - so it drew my attention away from all the good stuff a number of times... I thought it needed "softening"...
I enjoyed it.

15? Those are some serious vocal chops for somebody of that age. And I suspect a LOT of singers much older would love to have them. Everything sounds super on our monitors and the video is just too cool. Your efforts put into these audio and video productions are strikingly evident. Thanks for the chance to listen and look. Stellar all the way around and hats off to the young lady! J&B www.janiceandbud.com

Really nice pop-rock song!! I enjoyed the video too. The singer has a really nice tone. A little pitchy at times but at that age, who isn't? Really like the groove and feel of this!! Take care. Greg

Hi ROG,
I enjoyed the video and the song. I was so busy watching Billie sing I did not even hear the Hi Hat.
I saw her push the headset when the BV came in. Did you guys do both at the same time or was the BV added later?
I find that to be a tough issue sometimes to push up the volume in the headset mix at just the right moment for the lead vocalist when the backing vocals come in.
Cool tune by a cute young lady and a up and coming vocalist.
Really enjoyed the listen.
Cheers,
Billy
Edit: I went back for another listen. I had to laugh when she smiled when she knew she missed a note pitch. Makes me know she is really involved in what she is doing and will get better and better.

I LOVED IT! High hats and all. The song is perfect for her. She's so cute! Totally teen expressions and rolling her eyes. LOL! Wonderful husky "Estellesque" voice. (Great keying on the video FX too.) I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing more from Billie.

ROG, What a great video and audio production!!! This is incredibly watchable and listenable music. Billie sounds brilliant, the song is a perfect vehicle for her talent and the mix is magnificent. This is definitely a work that everyone can feel very proud of. This is so very polished on all fronts that it seems like a huge amount of time went into getting the song and its performance sounding and looking so good. Sitting in my chair here in Australia, I can say that it was DEFINITELY worth the effort. I really enjoyed being an audience. All the best to you and Billie, Noel

WOW, that is great work guys and gals. I see from her lips she must be an Elvis fan. Great vocal and the music and harmonies are excellent; as well as the video; thanks for sharing!

Hi Floyd. Thanks for the review. Billie's great isn't she? As you say, those expressions are priceless. There's a bit of Amy Winehouse about her vocal delivery which I hope to work on. The guitar solo really had to be that simple - there's not a lot you can do over those chords! The hi-hat? Well maybe, but I differ from you in that I hate tracks where the hi-hat has all but disappeared. I like something running at eight to the bar to keep the pace moving. I sometimes even add extra hi-hat to realdrums! Still, variety of opinion is what makes the world interesting. The Bvs took me up to a top "G" which made me sound like one of the girls, but if it worked then all's well. Thanks again for the comments, ROG.

Hi Billy. A guide vocal was laid onto the backing track and used as a basis for recording the backing vocals. The guide was then removed and the final vocal recorded. Thanks for the review, ROG,

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
