Hi,
Band in a box is great.
What would be even greater is using a midi keyboard to input chords in real time for an auto accompaniment experience similar to an auto accompaniment keyboard.
I honestly believe that your sales with double or triple if you had this feature.
No existing Yamaha or any other brand of auto accompaniment keyboard could begin to touch the real styles of band in a box.
I can imagine nothing more fun than playing chords and having band in a box follow the chords while I'm playing in real time.
Please tell me such a thing as possible and that you are working on it right now.
Right now having to manually input the chords is intellectually interesting but not visceral.
There is nothing like the feeling of creating music on the spot by playing chords on a keyboard.

The auto accompaniment I have used before allows you to play chords using both hands.
This allows for a very complex and inspiring chords.
And to have all those real tracks waiting to be triggered by chords I'm playing; that's about as close to heaven as I'm going to get.
I would appreciate it if you let me know what you think.

A simple sync IN (a long time Wishlist item!) would go a long way to achieve something like this.

I suppose this could (but obviously hasn't been) be implemented with MIDI with no latency (because if you are playing real time, you can't have any latency), but not meaning to burst anyone's bubble, until they figure out a way to make RealTrack generation instantaneous, I doubt this is going to happen.

And the fact that this has been a wish list item since the early MIDI-only days, and hasn't happened yet, so I doubt it will.

But, you never know...

(you should be able to use an adapter for keyboard input)

The TRIO is your own band inside a guitar pedal!

The TRIO listens to the way you play and automatically generates bass and drum parts that match your song. Just plug your guitar into TRIO, press the footswitch to teach TRIO your chords and rhythm, then press the footswitch again to start playing with your own personal band!

The TRIO provides seven music genres to choose from including: Blues, Pop, Alternative Rock, Rock, Country, R&B, and Jazz. Up to twelve song styles are available for each genre and you can select between 3/4 and 4/4 time signatures.

The TRIO can learn up to 3 different song parts which can then be recalled on-the-fly as the song plays back. An optional DigiTech FS3X Footswitch can be connected to the TRIO for easier, hands-free selection of song parts and styles.

Features
Seven Music Genres and Twelve Song Styles Per Genre to Choose From
The TRIO can learn up to three different song parts that can recalled on-the-fly

Solidrock, it would have been nice if you provided a company name and a link for TRIO.

Ooops, sorry Solidrock, didn't have my glasses on and missed the link.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Thank you MarioD.

Wow just saw a couple of demos. I'm really tempted to buy one. Fast and quick. Save me the headache of trying to find the right style.

Yes, pricey comes to mind. 349 EUR, $386.50 US or $506.21 Canadian

Trio is one toy (defined as something I want but do not need) I'd really like to get.
Another is the ++ You Rock Midi Controller ++

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
