Say Goodbye

https://soundcloud.com/peterf1957/say-goodbye

An old one with updated real tracks some time ago - didn't keep the original file so not sure which style.
Real Tracks - Bass, Drums, Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin and Dobro.

I play 2nd dobro and slide weaving about the 1st dobro.
Leon vocals and lyrics.

Quite a few Sydney landmarks in this one written when he left Sydney to live in Canberra.

Peter and Leon,

Wow that is a great foot-tapping tune.
Nice playing by yourself, Peter.
great vocals as usual.
It seemed so short even though it was nearly 3 minutes so it needs many listens smile

perfect for a really windy day here in blighty.

enjoyed a lot

Alyn

Wow

Pretty great lyrics and vocals Leon, exceptionally melody, and a fantastic story line

You guys did a great job with every part of the musicality.

And boy, the Dobro really sings throughout this number

Tops.

Very cool tune!! Your vocal fits this one so naturally. The song just flows and carries the listener along so nicely. Everything works like a charm. Was that an Orbison line placed in there? Nicely done in every way!! Take care. Greg

One of your best I think. Everything fits together nicely along with the vocals which are just right for the lyrics and melody. Good job.

Peter and Leon,

Solid. The production, arrangement and mix are nice in all regards.

Nice vocal.

The song really goes by fast. No better compliment than that...

(would have liked to see a lyric on this one). Good write.

Your best so far, I think...

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Thanks Alyn.
Always thought it sort of conjures up a warm Sydney evening (like tonight).

Man, that is a fine tune! Incredibly organic in the
way it just flows with the great vocal, lyric and dobro(s).

This made an immediate trip to our SC playlist.

BTW, as a long time bluegrass player I've had
the chance to sit in with some talented
dobro players working together. You nailed it.

Enjoyed it!

Thanks for all the comments - they were much better than I anticipated. Wasn't really sure about posting that one but glad I did.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
