I really like the rhythm guitar and the B3 comes across nicely. Very nice blues song and I enjoyed it a lot. Your writing and your vocals are excellent.

I call this jazz blues and I am a huge fan of jazz blues and I must say that you did it more than justice. Your instrumentation, vocals, lyrics and mix is spot on.

We loved it! Jazzy Blues ... great genre. For the freshman effort, this sure sounds terrific! That walking 4/4 bass drives this puppy. Wow ... super! As always great mix and delivery. Cool!

What a strange idea to have a date as a song title! and I must admit my ears were confused at the mention of blues and then the listen.
Interesting listen, more jazzy than blues IMHO
up to your normal high standards
and still humming the tune in my head

As I'm sitting here thinking, it seems to me that blues and jazz are a bit like that evergreen riddle, "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" One can't have a chicken without an egg but then one can't have a chicken egg without a chicken... in exactly the same way, which came first, blues or jazz? Interesting puzzle. Noel, I like it a lot! The vocal is perfect for this easy slide along minor blues. The bass sounds superb. The B3 comes in nicely and the slide solo is well edited. That is one real track that I have found hard to get right but you nailed it. Your overall production chops are on full display here. Nice going. Tom Thanks Tom. I agree with the slide guitar track... it's definitely one of the challenging one to create a solo with. I used multiriff in Realband to generate multiple solos in addition to saving BIAB solos if they had a bar or two that I liked. That seemed to give me enough to work with. floyd Thanks floyd. I always like reading what you write. When I wrote these lyrics, I imagined the song's character sitting in front of a mirror talking to his reflection in an effort to try and understand why he was dumped. When I tried the different perspectives with the lyrics, I found it difficult to choose which was best. The I/me/you perspective worked well but so did the you/she/her perspective. In the end, I decided to go with the point of view I began writing with. I hope Christmas bring good things to your and your family, Noël

Whoa!!! Noel the blues man...and with a great twist with the two structures. Like floyd mentioned "June 10, you say the day is looking yellow and blue" is a great line as is the title from that line. And it's joined by many more cool lines. You did a superb job with the RT's. And we definitely pay attention to that stuff The slide couldn't be any better -- it well complements the vocal. And the vocal? "Novice" or not you have an instinctive feel for the phrasing and the key is perfect. We love musical surprises and this one was superb! A tip of the fedora to you... J&B J&B, I have a million miles to walk in the blues genre before I can even get a glimpse of your talent. Seriously! Thanks for that fedora tip, never had too many of those in my lifetime.
