Dear Forum Friends,
I hope you're all feeling great and are in the mood for a little Rock music. To celebrate getting my new BB Everything Pack (thanks again PGM), we wrote some upbeat rock with a positve message. "Live Today" may not be about me but I'd sure like to be that guy.

http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13326619

A couple of notes on this one:
- Darin Favorite's guitar solo RT is awesome and makes the song fly.
- For the first time on one of our songs, I'm playing guitar. Yep, the fuzzed out electric rhythm guitar in your right ear is me playing power chords.
- I substituted my rock organ playing for the RT.

Enjoy and "Live Today!"

Spacedog, you nailed it.
Great vox, lyrics with the perfect backing tracks.

This is really good music.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Very nice rock music! I like it especially the solo guitar part. Your vocal and backing guitar play as well, of course.

Hi SD,

a real rocker.
You're right: the lead gives the song wings.
Congrats on your first guitar attempt. It's in my
left ear though.
Enjoyed listening.

Hi spacedog,
Your arrangement is rich in instruments playing together and you successed to render them all clear at listening. E.g. solos of guitar and voice in the same time, are not in conflict. Your own guitar is well integrated to the rest.
Congratulations.
Pascal

Bob,
Good to hear from you. Thanks for listening.

MarioD,
Hard to go wrong with the RT backing tracks. Thanks.

Hiroshi,
Thanks. I agree the solo guitar RT is great. I wish I could play like that.

Floyd,
I really appreciate your comments on this one. Thx.

Guenter,
Thanks. It was a lot of fun to rock out again.

Pascal
Hi. I can't recall hearing from before. Welcome to the Forum. Thanks for the comments on the mix. I've been work really hard on mixing skills and I'm glad it's paying off. Thanks.

Greg,
Thanks. I love the comparison to the Kinks. That's the kind of drive I was going for.

Scott,
Thanks for listening and commenting.

Yeah! The Kinks. I was racking the old brain trying to nail the feel and then
saw what Greg said.

This was a fun rockin' listen. Lead vocal and lead guitar
work really well with your playing and the rhythm RT's.

Lot's to like here!

Hi SD,

Oops, it appears we're a little bit late to the party.
But this song is quite different from your other songs.
Nice rock song!

Hi SD.

Late, but better late than never!

Great rocking sound and probably my favourite of yours so far.

Cool solo.

Like Guenter, your guitar was in my left ear - you might want to check your stereo routing.

Good vocal and mix.

ROG.

What a cool rocker! One of your best sounding tracks yet.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
