Hi everyone. Now, I may have dreamt this, but I thought there was a "BIAB Hat giveaway" fun competition, where you had to make a short video showing how you use BIAB and your favourite DAW but it seems to have disappeared. I made one anyway so thought I'd share it, and it's posted here: BIAB & FL Studio. If anyone can remember the eMail adress of the "hat" compo, could you let me know, ta. Cheers for now. Mike.

Hi Peter.
Thanks for the update, I'll watch out for that (and probably tinker with the video a little more).
Cheers. Mike.

I thought I saw where it said "short" .... about 30+ seconds or so.... did I misunderstand?
11 minutes... that's longer than most of the testimonials.
I clicked in on a few places... (don't have the patience to sit and watch 11 minutes).... and I will say, it looks extremely well done.

You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.comAdd nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both. The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

Especially like how you got the guitar solo to "sit" in the mix. Nicely done.

Not sure there is actually a lot to demo for a topic of "biab to Daw". In fact, a simple drag and drop of the audio and midi tracks is really all that needs to be illustrated. Now when and if they create a true VST plugin of BIAB, then that will be something to see.

Very interesting. I do have one question, though: Is there a reason you didn't adjust the tempo in FL Studio to match the imported tracks?

Very interesting. I do have one question, though: Is there a reason you didn't adjust the tempo in FL Studio to match the imported tracks? Hi. Yes, it is good practice to match the tempo before importing the tracks and something I would do if I wanted to change any pitch or timing or add a time based plugin such as jamstix etc. If you load wav / mp3 tracks into FL studio, it doesn't, attempt to adjust the tracks tempo to its default tempo setting. Any subsequent tempo change in FL would readjust the track tempo though, so, another good reason for matching them at the outset. I really should get into the habit of doing that, to avoid any unintended consequences at later stages. In this case, as the drum beat was imported as one of the tracks, I did not need the metronome to play the lead guitar against and this would have been the only thing that was tempo related. Great question. Thanks for stopping by to have a listen (and to everyone else who did). Cheers. Mike.
