From our list of seemingly endless songs here is the aptly named:

Here We Go Again
Vocal & Lyric Leon
Me - Backing vocal (in there somewhere) and some guitars (one of the 12 strings is an emulation on a Variax)

The Band
RealTracks in style: ~388:Bass, Electric, Metal Ev 120
RealTracks in style: ~686:Organ, B3, Background Pop Ev 120
RealTracks in style: ~405:Guitar, Acoustic, Strumming Ev 120
RealTracks in style: ~1030:Guitar, 12-String Electric, Fingerpicking Ev 120
RealTracks in song: ~2495:Piano, Electric, HeldChords 120
RealDrums in style: RockClassicBritEv^2-a:Snare, Closed HiHat , b:Snare, Open HiHat

Here we go again

I’ve been here for hours she said
And you haven’t tried to kiss me
I know we really shouldn’t
But I thought you said you missed me
You’re showing me those photos
When I’m right here in your bed
Can’t you think of something else
You’d rather do instead?

Chorus:
Hey ho, here we go
Hey, ho, here we go
Heart says yes, head says no
Hey, ho, here we go again

Verse:
I’ve always cared about you
But I don’t feel that involved
She casually informed me
Like it was a problem solved
I felt as if she’d stabbed me
But I didn’t let it show
Just let my self-esteem descend
Another notch or so

Chorus:
Oh, hey ho, here we go
Hey, ho, here we go
Heart says yes, head says no
Hey, ho, here we go again

Bridge:
I was old enough to know better
But young enough not to care
Like a man standing on a mountain
Felt the tug of all that empty air

Chorus:
Hey, ho, here we go
Looking at the ground so far below
Heart says yes, head says no
Hey, ho, here we go
Oh, hey ho, here we go
Hey, ho, here we go
Heart says yes, head says no
Hey, ho, here we go again

Peter (and Leon),

From your "list of seemingly endless songs"... my favorite...

Good write - lyric and melody. The production and arrangement are terrific. The opening 12-string and organ is super...

(the solo guitar was a bit low in the mix - and I thought panned a bit too far to one side).

Really enjoyed this one.

That 12 string electric certainly gives it a Byrd's kind of vibe there in the intro.

Cool tune.

Great feeling tune!! I am a big fan of that 12 string electric-used it several times myself. This song really catches the whole retro feel in a great way. I really like the solo you put in. Also, love this bridge....

I was old enough to know better
But young enough not to care

Felt the tug of all that empty air

Very good writing! Enjoyed this a lot!! Take care. Greg

Peter,
Nice song. I agree the 12-string was an outstanding choice.

Thanks for the kind words - glad you liked the song. The guitar was panned too far - have fixed the original.

Interesting how an instrument can be evocative of a band or time.

It certainly makes it easy to write songs when the lyrics are handed to me on a platter.
Thanks for the comment on the guitar.

Hi Peter.

Yes, certainly your best so far.

Like others have said, very "Byrds" on the intro.

Great arrangement - very clever break-down on the bridge - a nice touch, that.

Everything in this tracks works well together and the mix is good, though I tend to go with Floyd on the solo guitar.

Really enjoyed it.

ROG.
