Paradise
©2016 Robert Randall Burke

I've got a cat
Who plays the bongos
But he can't keep very good time
I got a whole case of Cuervos
But I ain't got any lime.

Got a monkey
Plays piano
He stays drunk all of the time
But he's a Union monkey
So I can't keep him in line.

And it's so hard
So hard
To keep this party goin'
Here in Paradise
So hard
So hard
So hard livin'
Here In Paradise.

Bob,

I love it!!! The arrangement is spectacular, the mix is spot on and your singing is the icing on a very fine cake. As I listened, images of Carmen Miranda and Harry Belafonte came to mind.

All in all, this is so very cleverly written and as with many of your lyrics, you show us all how to use words both economically and with bulls-eye accuracy.

I enjoyed it a great deal.

Regards,
Noel

Ah... they don't dance like Carmen no more...

But if your cat plays bongos, that's something!

Another amazing minimal-number-of-words-write.

Love the picture - that looks just like my cat - including the beer... he's here trying to type for me...

... and the monkey piano, too!

And the vocal, of course...

One of the very top songs this year for the forum.

We will continue to enjoy it as we just added it to our
SC playlist.

Wish we were on our way to that club!

Stellar write, vocal and mix.

LOL! That's the best laugh I've had in a while Bob. What a well done comedy song that so skillfully poked a little fun.

But he's a Union monkey
So I can't keep him in line. ROFL!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
