As I've previously inputted, I really appreciate the new Surf Real Tracks.
Love the Surf Real Drums as well; however almost all of them are pretty heavy on the cymbals. Anyway to either edit them out or tone them down?

RT/RD's are stereo audio files not multitacks so you can't isolate just the cymbals. Apply the PG EQ to the track and turn down the frequency range that sounds best to you. You can also use EQ to boost the other drums which will have the effect of burying the cymbals.

Spot on, Bob!?
I revamped the classic surf tune Wipeout (cant post here as its a Cover) and the zizzling cymbals swamped the drum track.
Used native 20 band EQ in my DAW to a) cut the higher freqs of the cymbals and b) boosted the lowers to get some more Oomph into the Toms. It worked - sort of. Definitely better but not great.
Made me wonder what the "Reference" was that PGs sound engineer used to decide that the final Mix on the RD was the right one.
Just my two cents worth.

That's actually a very good point. Presuming PGM still has the masters, perhaps they can remix and release a new version of the style with 'toned down' / 'adjusted' settings. Maybe one for the wishlist???

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
