This is my first post, so I'm not sure what all I need to say. I am using BIAB Audiophile for Mac 2015. The only thing I added are the vocals.

Hi Jamie,

Welcome to the forum.

I love the poignancy and the emotional intensity that you captured in both your lyrics and your presentation. I found the whole journey beautiful.

The lines...

"Life takes you down roads you thought you'd never see
"Paths that twist and turn into reality
"Leading through green fields into the blackest sea"

...resonated very strongly with me.

A terrific first effort!

All the best with song #2!
Noel

Hi Jamie,
I second Noel`s comments on the poignant feel of your song - its lovely.I was reminded of Susan Boyle so I think your vocals hit the mark!
I noticed that your arrangement (the string section fits very well) remained consistent throughout; I thought some build to the first chorus could have worked.
Very good - I look forward to more,

Robert

Hello Jamie,

Welcome to the forum.
Very nice vocals. Beatiful duet.
As Noel said, I also love the poignancy and the emotional intensity that you captured in both your lyrics and your presentation.
I am looking forward to your next song.
By the way, I am also using BIAB Audiophile for Mac.

Best Regards.

Beautifully presented Jamie.

Thoughtful lyrics combined with a pleasant melody. And the strings complemented perfectly.

Oh, and also welcome aboard!

Hi Jamie and yes, welcome to the forum.

An excellent first post.

A haunting backing with a beautifully performed vocal. I particularly liked the way the harmony came in.

I look forward to seeing what you do next.

Welcome. Nice vocals and the mix supports everything very well.

"Life takes you down roads you thought you'd never see
Paths that twist and turn into reality
Leading through green fields into the blackest sea
Whatever happened to my dreams"

Very nice.

We enjoyed the listen and hope to hear more!

Great lyrics, and your vocal sounds very nice indeed, especially when the harmony part comes in.

Good work on the track also, perfect to these ears. Very much enjoyed!

Hi Jamie,

Welcome! For the PG suggestions on what to say in your song posts, click on the User Showcase and look at the top above the song posts listing and you'll see them under the heading, "With the posts, please provide:"

Wonderful emotion in your voice, well crafted lyrics and your arrangement of the RT's is spot on for your song. Pretty harmonies too.

This was a terrific first post.

Looking forward to hearing more of your music and getting to know you.

Style is MOVIEST.STY
Real Tracks are:
2045:Piano, Acoustic, Solo-Accompaniment
2335:String Quartet, Rhythm
I also had a soloist track but I can't find it... it disappeared. That should tell you right there how much I know about this!

I'm dragging the tracks into Logic Pro 9 and I'm using a MOTU 828mkll, KRK Rokit5 monitors and a Rode NTK for vocals.

Thanks for all the kind words of encouragement.

WOW this is one outstanding first post! The backing tracks, vocals and harmonies were top shelf all the way but the lyrics took it over the top for me! I'm an old guy and you got me wondering whatever happened to my dreams!

This is a keeper.

PS - My daughter walked into the room and said "that is really good. Whoever that is she can really sing. What CD are you listening to." I think that says it all!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

The melody is smooth but has emotional impact.
How 'bout that for saying that I like it? Good harmonies!
Very nice song.

Hello Jamie,

What a nice surprise to hear such a classic sounding romantic song!
Beautiful vocals, and beautifully arranged.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
